Pleasant and helpful. A much better alternative than most for remediating mold. I would recommend Pure Maintenance to my friends. They seem like a great company.

They came and tested for mold spores but never tested the outside air as a comparison. When the test came back they said we had twice the number of mold spores inside as outside.....so I went to Home Depot and got two mold tests units so that I could test the air inside AND outside myself. Guess what, the inside air showed only 25% of the mold spores inside as were outside. Quite a different story. Had another tester come out who found zero moisture and didn't even recommend testing further. Lastly, the proposed solution was to fog the studio apartment with mold killer....$450 for 250 sq feet. Warranty wouldn't be any good though unless I agreed to fog the entire house...$2500! I went to Home Depot again and rented a fogger and a gallon of the liquid myself, even though there was no real indication of mold, just to be sure. Cost me $60. While I liked the rep, nice guy and all, the story line just didn't make sense and in the end ...I am sure glad I went the extra step and followed my intuition. Saved a bunch.
Response from Company:
Chris, I apologize. We typically take an average of outdoor air counts in your area and use it as a comparison rather than charging the customer to take a test to find counts we are already aware of. We certainly can take an outside sample anytime someone would like a test to use as a baseline. Also I would not recommend finding mold counts on the petri dish test. They will typically need to be looked at by a lab. The reason that our treatment costs more than the home depot fog machine is because it is a much more complex science. We are creating a much smaller particle, like a vapor. So sorry, let us know how we can make it right.
