After receiving 4 estimates from contractors with good recommendations we selected Progressive because they had the most comprehensive contract (8 pages) and top workman's warranty and the best price by far. The rest included ones that were two to 2.5 and a half times greater The entire experience from beginning to end was first rate, professional and friendly. We had good meetings with the estimator, the production supervisor, and the crew head. We give them our highest recommendation.

We contracted Progressive Home Improvements LLC to perform our roofing work several days before Hurricane Ida hit. I understood the delays in getting material after the hurricane, but when I called the project manager for an update she never returned my call. The only update I ever got from them was when my shingles were finally in their warehouse. They never updated me on the time when they would be delivered to the home, time the roofers would be here, or when they would show up the next day (6:30 AM) I remember because that is when they started pounding on the roof without any announcement. They were also supposed to perform some ceiling work which we had 2 subcontractors come out to estimate then 2 weeks later they decided, once again, to show up unannounced. We were about fed up by that time so we turned them away. The roof replacement was low quality because the roofers were also supposed to replace facia board which they neglected to do, and were going to shingle over 7 pieces of broken and rotting decking, but I had to stop them and insist that they stop any more work until they replaced it. Instead of replacing the entire sheet of decking, they only cut the decking to fit over 2 rafters and replaced only the cracked areas. There were still several areas that I would have liked to have replaced (the decking was buckling under my 190-pound weight), but the contractor inspector insisted this was adequate and up to code. I was drawn to select them by the 12-year warranty and the annual 5 years of follow-up inspections. We'll see. Also, the subcontractors did not clean up after themselves well and left a pallet and a tarp filled with roofing waste. I called them several times to collect this, but no one ever showed. Don't waste your time and money!
