What an unexpectedly unprofessional experience I had with Anas of Petra Decks. At first he seemed kind, we had a lovely conversation and related on many subjects, but he was also very impatient, inconsistent and rude. He lied to me saying he waited 20 minutes at our gate which was untrue based on our texts, then he blocked me due to his own mistakes. This seems to be a theme with him. When I connected with him at the end of June this year we booked a 5pm time slot for him to view the property and at 5:06pm the day of the appointment he texts me saying he had to reschedule because he forgot his phone. I was confused, but I gave him a chance because life happens. Finally he was able to come and do a quote. He came to the property, he wasnâ t on time but it didnâ t bother me. We had a great conversation when he came where I thought I had found the perfect guy to build our deck. Then later he texted saying he needed to do some more measurements, I asked when; then he said actually itâ s ok he doesnâ t need to do measurements anymore. Then some time passed and he said he actually did need to do more measurements. So we had to arrange to meet again, but that was a very busy time for me so it was delayed. Finally we agreed on today, to which he said heâ d come to our property at 2-3pm; then he confirmed he would be here at around 3pm. I rearranged my plans and agreed. Then at around half past 2 he said he would be at the property in â around 30 minutesâ for measurements, which would be around 3pm, but because he came 10 minutes early and I was in the restroom so I didnâ t reply to his text of being here 10 minutes earlier. At 3:00 I saw his texts where he said he had arrived (early) and said â Iâ m leaving byeâ at 3pmâ ¦ the time he had said he would arrive originally. He said he was waiting at our gate for 20 minutes which was a lie, he was waiting for 10 because he was early, and I did not expect that. I was in the restroom as well briefly thinking he would arrive at 3. He lied about the situation and blocked me even though I apologized for being in the bathroom, despite this situation not being my fault. Because I had thought he was a gracious understanding and compassionate man, many reviews paint him as a kind man as well. But he has so little patience, and a terrible attitude. Maybe he was just in a bad mood today, I donâ t know. It doesnâ t mean I shouldâ ve been treated this way. All I wanted was a deck and what I got was disrespect.

Just wanted everyone to know about an amazing experience we had with a contractor and deck builder: Petra Decks, LLC. Anas (owner) and his crew were outstanding. Anas was present throughout the entire build. His communication was stellar, they worked incredibly hard and the deck they built is exactly what we hoped for. He showed up on time and the deck was finished within the promised timeframe. We have had some horrible experiences with contractors, so we really wanted to share this excellent recommendation with those in Ten Trails who may be considering having a deck built. Petra Decks builds both composite and wood decks, along with patio covers, etc for a full outdoor living experience. Our deck repair/replacement was done above and beyond what we expected. Anas is a nice, honest, caring man who made sure that everything was done to perfection and it is beautiful. His crew was polite and cordial. There was a work ethic beyond what you expect today. It was, by far, the best experience we'd ever had with contractors.

He was always courteous and showed up on time. Excellent workmanship. It turned out beautiful!

Anas replaced my cedar deck with a new Trex deck. He was easy to work with and did as he promised at a very fair price. Excellent communication, very responsive, honest, and a super nice guy as well. He had some great suggestions that improved the look of the deck and saved me quite a bit of $$ as well. The new deck turned out even better than I expected. His crew is also great, nice positive young guys who know what they are doing. I highly recommend Anas and Petra Decks!!

If I could give a higher score than 5 they would be a 10... The whole crew was friendly and at the same time very hard working... They not only worked in the rain but in a hail storm.. The awesome +800 square foot deck took only 8 days... When I look out my kitchen window....I feel like I am in a fancy resort.... The deck is solid and could easily hold over 50 people... I recommend this crew to anyone needing a deck...

Overall they new desk is nice. There were several small details that they just missed or chose not to do. They were messy and left countless nails, screws, broken concrete and wood scraps all over the job site and yard. The overall look of the deck was good. But, when you look closer. It was sloppy. Screw holes not filled, edges of cuts and railings not sanded down, stain was not done well, it looks like they sanded and then applied stain right over top of the saw dust from the sanding. There is a large concrete stain on the driveway from where they mixed it before they poured it. When we talked to the owner about these items, he either blew them off or argued that it is what is expected with a large rough exterior structure. If I ever need a contractor in the future I will not use this company.

Very quick and completed to what I wanted

We worked with Anas in April 2017 who built us a decent-sized deck in our sloped backyard. He designed a deck for us that fit our budget, was low maintenance, and installed properly (flashing and proper footing). In the end we went with a deck that used Trex and had cedar railings with aluminum balusters. What impressed me most about Anas was his prompt communication, which I found seemed to be a lot to ask for from other contractors during my quest to find a deck builder. He was available via text, email, or phone call and usually responded within 24 hours. He and his team also worked quick! Our deck was about 16' x 25' and he finished it within 3.5 days. They also cleaned up after themselves, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend Petra Decks to friends and family. He was easy to communicate with and helped us build a deck that suited our wants and needs.
