Paulo's was incredible. My cedar shake siding was aging and blackened and his crew came through and promptly took care of the job. Since the historic summer cottage has no insulation and very thin walls, they were respectful and careful to softwash. The results were great and the turn-around was just what I needed too - they squeezed me into their schedule and I am very grateful. Great job guys!

I had a thin pebble tile to be installed on a backsplash. The installation is more difficult because the tile setter has to be very careful not to apply too much mastic since it will come through to the front and you will not be able to get grout between the pebbles. I wanted to hire a professional due to the fact that this is more complicated than a thick tile installation. Paulo said he has done this many times in the past. Before the job, we specifically discussed how important it is to knock down excess mastic! Unfortunately, the installer used too much mastic and it oozed through to the front of the pebbles. This was exactly we wanted to avoid! The installer then left the job and allowed the mastic to dry. It was a nightmare from there, because he did a poor job of fixing the mastic problem and did not like that the project was now taking more time. There were also spots where the pebble sheets were forced into place resulting in the pebbles overlapping. I lost all confidence in his expertise and did not have him finish the project. I paid more than I ever should have to settle up and I got a professional to finished the job.

We had Paulo paint and stain the exterior of our house two years ago and he did such a great job at a good price we hired him recently for a complete bathroom remodel, a new floor in another bathroom and putting a skylight in my den. He is an expert with logistics - materials and workers arrived as needed, all on a tight schedule, all expert at what they did and all very amiable. Paulo himself loves his work, enjoys design and selection of materials, and is good at it. He stopped by every day to oversee progress and was done in about ten days. His bid was well below the other bid I received. Many people have since complimented the work. He has a foreman who checks all work and does much of it himself, Daniel Peixoto, who is both an extraordinarily hard worker and is masterful on tile and carpentry projects. I truly believe that Paulo's attitude affects his whole crew, giving them a friendly and considerate approach to their work and a real attention to detail.

They removed wallpaper and painted 4 rooms. It ended up being 4 layers of paper going back to the 1950s, it was a bear of a job. They were thorough, tidy, and friendly and good natured the whole time. I will hire them again the next time I need something.

I had significant water damage to the kitchen floor and walls. Damage extended into a stairwell as well as the garage. Dry wall and insulation were removed. After everything was dry, Paulo's company handled the entire job: Insulation and drywall instillation, painting, and floor refinishing. They did a great job on all accounts. The employees were courteous and cleaned up each day. It was an extensive job and they did it in a timely fashion. Paulo visited the job site every day. With each new phase of the job, he came to the job site early to show his crew what needed to be done. He checked in to make sure that we were happy. He was timely in the initial appointment. He delivered a competitive price and started the job when he said they would. I would certainly use Paulo's Painting and Carpentry again.

We were looking to have 6 rooms painted before we moved into our new home. It was a busy time of year and Paulo was very accommodating working around his schedule and ours to get the job done. The estimate given was "right on" and the painting job done is beautiful. I'm still walking into rooms and marveling at the colors and the degree of care that was taken. Paulo himself is lovely to work with, always with a smile on his face and eager to please. We will definitely be calling him again for future painting projects. Thank you Paulo
