Just like all the other reviews, yes itâ s a FIVE STAR. Cost effective, timely, remove oil tank in less than a day, great on site professionals and of course the worldly famous Shelly. Now the back yard is a bit of a mess but what do you expect we had a backhoe and a dump truck working to make it all happen. The thing to know is that, as you should know, nothing in NY is easy ESPECIALLY when you are removing an oil tank but they handled it all â ¦permitsâ ¦environmental approval from the man after tank was pulled and I am sure a dozen other items that we are not aware ofâ ¦ lastly we hadâ ¦just like all contractor jobs, a few glitchâ s come up and they never fazed the group. Solve it and move on is how it was handled. Thanks All

I was selling my house in NY and had an underground oil tank that needed to be abandoned properly prior to closing. I hired Optima Environmental to perform the job. The sales rep came out that day and walked down and discussed with me what needed to be done. I was in the process of moving when she came back and I signed the paperwork. I was then informed that a CO had never been obtained for the new oil tank which had been installed 3 years earlier. Working with the Optima Representative (Shelley) and the town, I was able to get the permit's needed and following the job (which was performed in one day, while I had already moved to my new residence in LA) and the inspection by the town I was able to get the CO's required for my closing. All the people I met and dealt with from Optima Environmental were very professional, helpful and courteous. The final project turned out great!!

This was a three-step process and I received the most excellent service at each phase. Shelley sited the new tank location and spec'd the old tank, measuring the number of gallons in the tank (which influences cost), generated the estimate, and was available throughout the project for any questions. Next Wayne and Steve ran all the pipes and installed the new tank. It was a bigger job than they anticipated (really thick walls to break through), but they did it completely and professionally, working in extreme heat. Finally, Walker and Kevin O dug out the ancient caste iron tank from the front law. It was a seamless operation with all the folks showing up exactly when needed. Their expertise in lifting the tank, lowering it into a dump truck, back-filling the hole and grading it was absolutely masterful. They even advised me not to put any of the old oil into the new tank, which I very much appreciated. All in all, I can't say enough about the technical prowess, professionalism, and courtesy that everyone in the operation provided. What could have been very nerve-wracking turned out to be a pleasure. Very Highly Recommended.

From the start, Optima was all about customer service. Shelly went out of her way to make the process easy - from permits to paperwork to completion. Steve and Gary were an absolute pleasure to work with through the project. Clean, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend Optima.
