On October 12, 2004, one week ago today, I signed a contract with a major brand flooring company to commence work on Oct 16th. I had them do we ork for me years ago and didn't have any issues. After the ssles rep left I looked at their reviews which were horrible. The next morning, I called the sales rep and expressed my concerns and that I was thinking of canceling. I then went back to Angi's list and found Taozen flooring, called and spoke with the owner, Robert Laporte. He came right over, took measurements, looked underneath the carpeting, identified a problem with a slope in the floor and came up with a solution of leveling the floor. He showed me a couple of samples and I chose a warm light brown. He started the project 4 days later which was Thu Oct 17th at 8 am. He returned the following day at 9:30 am and the job was completed by 2 pm. I could not be more pleased. He was fair, professional and really knows what he's doing. I highly recommend him. The floor is beautiful.

Not only would I hire him again - but I did! Mr. LaPorte has worked on several projects now (hardwood, vinyl, marble tile and carpeting). Each project has been terrific. He is a professional. He is respectful. He follows through. He shows up as scheduled. He works hard and fast. In short - he delivers... all at a very reasonable price.

Robert was timely and executed work as described. He installed hard wood floors and replaced existing shower tile.

We own an older condominium, and Bob Laporte suggested we put in bamboo flooring. When he was gone, I came down to look at the dining room floor that they were working on and they were big giant holes in the subfloor. I asked his employee was he going to fix these and he said oh, Iâ  m sure he will well, guess what he sure did not. I Hired a new contractor who did an awesome job put down a new subfloor imagine that and I am completely satisfied. Do not hire Bob.

Robert is the penultimate professional. He and Phil go WAY above and beyond and have great patience with answering detailed questions and explaining the process. He is a craftsman, a perfectionist, and his work is simply outstanding. He is very respectful and communicates - rapidly.
