Write a ReviewI recently used Moving of America after it was recommended by a friend, and I’m very glad I did. The crew if David, Kimberly, Danny, Eddie, and Humberto did an amazing job during my move in Hawthorne.  They handled several heavy and bulky items, including a piano, with great care and professionalism. The team was hardworking, friendly, and very efficient throughout the entire process.  What really meant a lot to me was that they took photos and videos during the move and were happy to share them with me, so I now have memories from both my old home and my new home.  That extra touch made the experience even more special. Moving Of America made my move surprisingly easy! I was dreading the whole process, but their team arrived with smiles and a can-do attitude. They packed everything so carefully, and I felt confident that my items were in good hands. They worked together like a well-oiled machine, making the whole operation smooth and efficient. I also appreciated their clear communication; they kept me informed every step of the way. When we reached my new home, they handled unloading with the same care and energy. I was able to get a truck and crew on short notice and was able to make an efficient move into my new home with little to no issue. Everything was handled properly and the crew took care to unload boxes and equipment right where I needed it. Highly recommend if you're looking to make a local move!
The team slowed down enough upon arrival to get an additional hour added to my total, but only used 25 minutes of it. The bunkbed reassemble was a little shoddy. A little wall damage.
Worst Moving Experience Ever ? A Complete Scam business Beware of the dirty tricks used by this moving company: 1. Deliberate Delays to Increase Charges ? The movers idled and wasted time, dragging out the job to charge more by the hour. 2. Extortion for Additional Payments ? They held our furniture hostage, threatening to cancel the job on moving day and demanding extra payments before downloading furnitures 3. Absurd Excuses ? traffic cause delays, claimed we had "too many" boxes not listed in the inventory (such a joke, all quoted companies said boxes do not matter), and using the elevator for moving causing delay(WT*?); Furniture wrapping?something other moving companies all do?cost time. All the excuses they can imagine to waste more time. 4. Abusive Customer Service ? When we called the office to report the delays, they yelled at us, interrupted, do not let us speak, and even hung up. Later, we were harassed with repeated calls. 5. Poor Furniture Assembly --unstable
We are truly sorry to hear you not completely satisfied about your move. Below is our investigation report which is based on 3 three factors: recorded calls, our tracking system installed in each of our trucks, and our electronic handheld device used by the Forman to record the move as it happened. There were no delays of any kind. Time began upon arrival at your place and begin working and finalize the bill at your delivery. You were not present for a vast majority of the labor-intensive part of the move where we wrapped, prepared, and loaded your items very quickly. Our original estimate was 8 hours, you requested 6.5 hours to match the lowest estimate you were receiving from others, and the final move charges were for only 7.5 hours, which is less then the original estimate we provided. It would be physically impossible for us to work slowly and accomplish this move in that time frame. We followed the standard procedure of closing the contract and billing with you upon arrival of the delivery. This was verbally confirmed by your rep, on the signed contract, and reconfirmed 48 hours before your move. Your bill ended up ½ half hour more then charged, which we discounted. No delay around the train effected your bill. Moving the boxes you had listed, with additional boxes and furniture, down a long carry to the elevator and up to the truck, is part of the reason the move might need more billing hours as we quoted originally. You also mention furniture wrapping, which was provided for free, but we explained it will take time to complete it. We have never had a service where the final bill and price is less then the original estimation and expected hours, and the client claims otherwise. If you believe you have unstable furniture, please return the claim form and reply to our phone calls so we can assist on this matter as well. It is our goal to have only happy clients, if you have any request for us or something we can do to rectify you not being satisfied, please reach out directly and let us know.
