Reviews
Write a ReviewThey responded quickly and were very knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend them
The owner lied to, took from, and bullied sick individuals on disability benefits budgets. Would I advise you to take your business elsewhere? I reached out to Rick this winter for assistance with testing my home for mold. I had received some diagnostics back from my doctors indicating elevated mycotoxins. The lab results combined with my set of symptoms spurred them to recommend an investigation of my living environment. I started off with an ERMI dust test on my own to confirm that my house was a point of exposure. After getting confirmation that there was mold present, I reached out to Rick for help narrowing down the source and finding out how bad it was. Rick was very charismatic at the beginning of our interactions. All the things he spoke about in our initial conversation were things that I was looking for in a mold testing company. I am very glad I recorded that conversation because, despite his promises, Rick failed to hold up his end of the deal. He was, however, happy to charge me for everything, including services not rendered. After offering to pay for the services that *were* performed while asking for a return on those that were not, and receiving no response from Rick, I went ahead and filed a dispute on the charges placed on my credit card. After getting word of this, Rick threatened to sue me. He also accused me of taking advantage of the system. Fortunately, I have a record of every phone conversation, text message, and email. I write this review to help hold him accountable and warn other people of the type of person Rick can be. It is really sad to me because he is a well-off man of influence who frequently espouses all the good ways he helps the vulnerable and disabled. Yet he knew from the beginning that this was a labor of health and well-being by a very disabled individual. And he still used his position of power, influence, and money in a way that bullied and took from a vulnerable person on disability income. Also of note are my interactions with Matt Wolf. Both Matt and Rick interacted with me in a way that led to a loss of trust. As of now, Midwest Enviro Solutions is still fighting my credit card dispute, and Rick has not reached out to me since his text threatening legal action.
Customer received everything that she paid for . Customers bank investigated and was resolved in our favor .
Quick and simple solution.
Thorough write up
Midwest enviro was there when we needed them the most. They sanitized our apartment complex and gave us peace of mind that our tenants were safe by sanitizing all touch points for safety measures. They came in and completed the job quickly and were competitively priced. We would highly recommend this company. You wonâ t be disappointed. .
Fast service. Knowledgeable. Explained every step. Complete report afterwards.
Very professional, and helpful. I needed the mold removed fast and they were able to switch their schedule around to get it done in two days. Would definitely recommend their company.
As a landlord, I have used Midwest Enviro Solutions for years. Never had a complaint from tenants. Pricing is reasonable, quality good, speed is excellent. I count on MES for a variety of fix-it projects, not just mold and water problems. Highly recommended.
Not recommended. We hired Rick and his crew for some large mold remediation projects last year, (gutting a basement + fixing an exterior wall that had moisture penetration). I realize now that I was talked into accepting unfinished, low-quality work and I regret it. Midwest left our basement full of exposed old studs, some sawed off a couple of feet above the floor, and all presumably still a mold concern as they had been sitting in a wet basement for years. This framing is full of nails and drywall adhesive and would be a pain to reuse when refinishing the basement, but that was the reasoning of Rick when he said I should keep them. I was a fool to agree - in retrospect, it was just a way to get out of finishing the job. Live and learn. Additionally, Midwest did a poor sheathing/siding job on the back of our house, and the floodlight back there has not worked since. They tried putting up OSB sheathing when I spec plywood - I only found out because I stopped by before the boards went up. The excuse of Rick was that most homeowners do not know the difference. The crew also left the interior of our house a mess of joint compound dust, empty wrappers and drink cups, and a blood-saturated bandaid on the bathroom sink. I spent a couple of hours cleaning up after them. When I went to put up some of the sidings that had fallen off the house this Spring, I found that the subcontractors of Rick had hung my siding back up with drywall screws (!). I can only imagine what other corners were cut where I cannot see. This job will probably take in moisture again, and fail within five years. Rick brushed off my request for him to return and address the problems with his subcontractors. I am hesitant to publicly criticize businesses - you cannot please everyone and mistakes happen - but I am embarrassed that we spent a large sum of money on such unprofessional results, and I do not want others to have the same experience. I put too much trust in this company and got burned. Good contractors are hard to find, and Midwest Enviro Solutions is not one of them.
Extremely prompt and effective.
