Reviews
Write a ReviewRoland spent an exceptional amount of time with my family reviewing all our options during our consult and giving us honest feedback on what would be best for our family. We are excited to work with the team for our remodel!
Thanks, Sarah! We?re so glad Roland made the process easy and informative!
Fantastic experience working with Matrix Basements! They turned my basement into a beautiful and functional space. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and they finished on time and within budget. The team was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. I could not be happier with the results. Highly recommend!
Jonathan - your feedback means the world to us! We are so thankful for your business and that we delivered on your project. Thank you for recommending us!!
Met with Roland for several hours, going over the WHOLE process of Matrix Home Solutions possibly finishing up our basement. We felt extremely comfortable with him as soon as he walked through the door, as we shared similar life experiences. We look forward to working with Roland and the rest of the Matrix crew in the future!
We are privileged to have met with you and look forward to working with you in the future!

Our experience with Matrix was extremely unpleasant. The salesperson gave us our initial quote and answered our questions about the employees that would be working in our house. We were assured that Matrix was the only company that used all W-2 employees and that they did not sub out any of the work. He also stated that Matrix is more of a premium brand and if we chose a company that would sub-contract out, we could probably save around $5k. We decided to go with Matrix because of the W-2 employees. The next morning, he asked us what the deciding factor was in choosing Matrix and we told him it was because of the W-2 employees. He confirmed and restated that the only people that would come in our house would be Matrix W-2 employees. We were informed by our Village that multiple sub-contractors had applied for permits. I reached out to Matrix and expressed my dissatisfaction. After 6 days I still had not been contacted about my concerns, so I sent another email stating that we would void our initial payment unless we were contacted. That got a response. Matrix tried to explain away the salespersonâ s lies by saying it was poor word choice Here is a list of the issues. â ¢Contractors used our basement window to load/unload product into the basement and broke the screen which Matrix fixed â ¢The unfinished side of the basement drywall looks like a jigsaw puzzle â ¢The spray foam contractors did not move the current wires before spraying and covered up our home phone line. Our phone company came out, but it could only have been fixed by removing a large portion of the drywall that was just put up. â ¢During the installation of the drywall, the dryer vent pipe was disconnected and left hanging. I fixed this one on my own. â ¢The drywall partially covers up one of the light switches. The electrician came back out and replaced a single electrical box with a double box so that the switch would be further away from the wall, but the wall still covers part of the face plate. When I brought this up to the PM, his response was **Well, it passed inspection**. â ¢When the underside of the stairs was being drywalled the extraction pump that goes to our washer was unplugged. The next time we did laundry our basement flooded, and water went into the new drywall and our new carpet. What was most alarming is that Matrix did not send anyone out to check the water damage, clean it up or dry it out for a couple of days. Finally, someone came out to pull the carpet back and remove the padding. They replaced the padding and put the same carpet back down. â ¢The online calendar was not correct. Somedays when work was scheduled, nothing happened. Other days when no work was scheduled, people showed up. â ¢The basement flood happened on a Friday and our project was supposed to be done the following Monday. We kept asking for their plan to fix the water damage, but we received no response other than they will send someone out. Finally, after a few days I reached out to the office to see if they were planning on finishing the project. They let me know that the PM was on vacation. We were never informed that there would be this delay. â ¢Since we had not heard anything for days, we scheduled a final inspection with the Village. They had workers come out and do work to get ready, but when it came time for the inspection there was no representative from Matrix was present. We failed the inspection. When we informed Matrix, they said that they knew we would fail, that is why they did not show up. Our experience with Matrix was one of the worst experiences in quality and customer service that we have experienced, and we would never recommend them. In addition, they ask you to sign a form at the end of your project that says you are not able to write or say anything negative about them. The Consumer Review Fairness Act makes clauses like that illegal.
They put in a new tub/shower in a matter of hours . They were clean and fast and the product is beautiful. The only thing to keep in mind is that they only do the tub/shower and not the entire space.
Great customer service. So very happy with the work they did. Would recommend HIGHLY
