Whitney had great ideas for my entire space and its use, however there was a stand out change for me. For over a decade, Iâ d been looking at my drooping bookshelves, bowed and badly designed, posing a challenge that I frankly wasnâ t up to. Enter Whitney Marston, designer extraordinaire, and within a matter of days, what most likely would have been put off for another decade, became, instead, a quick, cost effective and stunningly simple and elegant solution. She analyzed my needs, led me through a few design options and voila, the sketch was produced and, even more miraculously, materials ordered and a fine carpenter engaged, who Whitney supervised and supported when issues arose (donâ t they always?) The result is that my space is unrecognizable. The finished project harmonizes and at the same time uplifts the rather eclectic décor that reflects my personality. The library wall somehow brings it all together and the installation of lighting in each cubby highlights my book collection as well as art objects that now look fresh and vibrant due to the back lighting. I give this gal a five-star rating and almost wish the project werenâ t finished because the experience was full of humor and good sense in equal measure. Whatâ s next?!

What's it like working with Whitney and Marston Studio? In a word: life changing. It literally changed my life, because my home was completely transformed into the home I always wanted, which has made a huge difference in my life! It's incredible to spend my time in such a beautifully considered spaceâ an instant and lasting mood booster. I always considered myself to be somewhat stylish, but there's a huge difference between what I could pull off and the utter magic that Whitney worked - I never thought my home could be this gorgeous! Marston Studio creatively combined pieces and accentsâ incorporating exquisite Moroccan textiles, classic American antiques, cherished keepsakes, and perfectly picked modern furnishings and art piecesâ to make something I could have never come up with in a million years but which felt 100% like me. Whitney didn't impose her own "style" on me, but listened to my ideas then applied her skills to realize what I couldn't exactly articulate. She was an artist, working with color, texture, and material to bring my dream space to life. Whitney pushes boundaries in design, but I never felt pushed into something I didn't want, in fact, in pushing boundaries, she led me to ideas that felt just so right. Whitney and Marston Studio are incredibly professional. She makes a point of being clear about what is happening, what's coming next, and presents ideas in a way that it's easy to visualize her intention, which takes so much stress out of the process and decision making. You know the entire time you are in the hands of an expert! I can't say enough about Whitney. In fact, I stop right now so you can get on to booking her immediately!

Still in awe at my apartment's transformation and I have Whitney to thank for it. She was a dream to work with; professional yet personable, with a wonderful sense of humor that made for easy & enjoyable communication throughout our project. Whitney was responsive to my very particular needs and performed miracles within my budget, working with her network of artisanal partners to find unique pieces that suited my tastes perfectly (I absolutely love my deco sideboard!). Her impressive knowledge and intuitive aesthetic sensibilities make it clear that Whitney has a passion for her work, and I give her my highest recommendation.

Whitney did a fantastic job helping us in our new and bigger Brooklyn one bedroom. From helping with floorplan layout to sourcing multiple options that fit our budget - our experience with her was really great.
