Long Home

DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY!!! RUNNNN!! Due to unforeseen circumstances which are out of our control, we are not able to proceed with Long Home services. We called to provide notice of cancellation of goods and services both verbally and in writing on Monday, December 1st. The letter addressed to 8530 Corridor Road, Suite 200, Savage, MD 20763 was delivered today so I do not understand why I am receiving this email stating that supplies have been ordered. We do not want goods and services from Long Home as we recently received confirmation that I do not have job security once I return from my leave and we are unable to commit financially with only one income and run the risk of losing our home. Additionally, after receiving a verbal cancellation of services on Monday, December 1st, Bobby Kaufman, quality assurance manager with Long Home, called me once and left me a voicemail stating he was calling to follow up on a notice of cancellation they received regarding the roofing project.

The work was described on paper and accomplished as scheduled, the cleanup after the work to remove nails and other roofing material from the deck and yard was good. Gutter installation was done separately, using a different team but the same firm. A coordinator did respond to my questions online in a timely way and sent photos after the work was complete and was very helpful. Conversation with the work crew was minimal.

Excellent presentation and guarantee on the work. Commitment to replace underlay. Completed inspection on the first visit. They may be more expensive but they will do more than putting a new layer of asphalt over the old layer. Also the warranty is transferable to new owners.

They replaced our roof this summer and replaced our back patio door this fall. We had great experiences with both projects. Communication was excellent, right from the start. Our sales contact was (and still is) amazing, answered all my questions, and impressed me with his knowledge of the products and the company itself. The handoff to each project manager was smooth, we had folks come out in advance to measure and inspect the project area, on the day of each project manager visited the house and/or contacted us throughout the day to check on things and see if we had questions, and the workmen themselves were friendly and professional. We had a very minor warranty issue on the roof (a visible nail head) that I found after climbing up there myself, and they had their guy back the next day to fix it, which was excellent service and gave me a great deal of confidence about them honoring the warranty. Altogether seems like a solid company with great service and quality products. Shoutouts to Jordan, Crystal, David, Ray, and Jorge.

My windows were put in by Long Windows years ago & have a lifetime warranty for repairs.

The project manager and installation team was outstanding.
