Write a ReviewGreat team to work with highly recommend them
This was a seamless experience from start to finish and it turned out way better than expected. Zack Verner was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be using them for future projects.
I am writing to formally file a complaint and request assistance regarding a landscaping project performed by Lonestar Landscape Management, led by Zack Verner, at my residence located at 5519 White Dove Dr, Arlington, TX 76017. Please find the attached quote (Estimate #1047) outlining the scope of work, which includes: Installation of an irrigation system SOD placement Leveling the grass area to match the raised pool deck Additional stone and retaining wall work The project was confirmed to begin on March 26, 2024, with the final payment made on April 2, 2024. However, the workmanship has resulted in multiple ongoing issues, miscommunication, and property damage. A summary of the key concerns is as follows: Pooling and Drainage Issues: I noticed pooling near my foundation and reached out to Zack Verner multiple times beginning April 28. When he finally visited on May 15, he acknowledged the pop-up drain on the right side needed leveling but deflected responsibility to my previous contractor, System Pavers. Covered Drainage Spout: System Pavers later determined that the drainage spout was covered by dirt and sod by Lonestar s team an error that contributed to the pooling problem. They declined responsibility due to this. Cable Line Severed Twice: o The first time occurred when System Pavers exposed the drainage area and accidentally cut the cable. o The second incident occurred when Lonestar returned and carelessly cut the same line again, despite a marked flag. This caused a service outage during a critical virtual meeting. Although Spectrum was able to repair the cable quickly, Lonestar s team left without covering the exposed area or leveling it, leaving it hazardous and unsightly. Unprofessional Conduct: After these incidents, Zack Verner became unresponsive. When I reached him using another phone, he told me I was a client who is never satisfied and refused to perform any further work. He declined responsibility for: o Covering the drain o Regarding the pooling area o Cleaning calcium scaling now visible on my pavers, caused by excessive standing water from poor drainage These issues have not only caused property damage and financial hardship but have also affected my professional obligations due to service interruptions. ________________________________________ I am seeking the following resolution: Completion of the unfinished and improperly done work, including proper grading and drainage repair Compensation for the cost of hiring a qualified landscaper to redo the damaged work Reimbursement for damages to my cable service and costs incurred from downtime and multiple service calls Cleaning or compensation for damage to my pavers due to Lonestar's negligence I was told that the work was under warranty, and I am now being denied the coverage promised. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I have attached the original estimate for reference and can provide photo/video documentation, text messages, and service records as needed.
Very pleased with the outcome. Zach was very accommodating and his crew were a group of hard-workers. They were polite when asked questions and checked with me to make sure I approved their work. They did tell me upfront that they would try to be careful around the fiber cable but could not guarantee that it would accidently be cut due to the type of work done. I called ATT and they moved the fiber to an aerial position. It was not ideally placed in ground by ATT workers in our 2-level yard in the first place as I had initially requested when installed.
Disappointing Outcome and Misleading Communication by Lonestar Landscape Management I recently hired Lonestar Landscape Management based on their timely and seemingly reliable service offer. I was disappointed in the outcome. Initially, my experience was positive; they showed up on time and brought the materials for the job. I was led to believe that I was in good hands. However, my satisfaction quickly turned into dissatisfaction. The core of the issue lies in the retaining wall project they undertook for my yard. Prior to starting, I was sent a text message with a picture stating that my retaining wall would look similar to the attached picture of a finished retaining wall with a cap and that my retaining wall would just be a different colors Unfortunately, the final product did not match the promised example. The workmen also damaged the backyard drainage system and did not repair it. After the crew declared the work â complete,I told the owners it looked unfinished. The owners informed me that the project looked unfinished because the crew ran out of materials so they returned to the job and installed more rock; however, the project still looked unfinished. The wall did not have a cap like the picture in the original text. When I told the owners the wall was not complete and did not look like the picture, I was told the picture was just sent to show me something â similarâ and to achieve the look in the initial picture would require additional services at an extra cost. They insisted that the discrepancies were due to the condition of my yard, not their craftsmanship, and claimed for the first time that further grading and enhancements were needed to achieve the look of the wall pictured in the original text.I am disappointed not only with the unfinished and messy look of the retaining wall and the damage to my drainage system but also with the companys lack of concern for customer satisfaction, follow-through and transparency. The service advertised and initially agreed upon was not delivered, and now I have to spend more money to get the result I already paid this company to do. The additional expenses and the hassle of dealing with their justifications have left me regretting my choice to hire them.
I'm sorry to see this comment here. We as a company went above and beyond the scope of work that the customer paid for. I am not going to get on here and start bashing this customer, but the truth was not told in this comment towards us. I will say that we stand behind all of our work and this customer wanted us to do extra work at no charge. We had already done more than the scope had required, but they just seemed to want to try and push us into doing more for free. I'm sorry, but that's not how we do business. Good luck to the next company that has to deal with these individuals. Make sure you document your scope of work, and conversation.
The owner Zach, his crew leader Alejandro, and the whole crew were top notch. My finished job is exactly what we wanted, and they were patient with me and willing to help me decide what I wanted to do. The work is excellent, the price was more than fair, and the workers were polite and courteous. I can't recommend them enough.
I was ecstatic with the work performed by Lonestar Landscape Management. Our yard had never been maintained or had irrigation prior to moving in. Not only was the entire scope of work completed thoroughly, but they also ensured that my vision of what my yard would look like came to fruition. I'm very thankful that they listened and followed through in a timely fashion on what they said they would do. I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.
