Thank you Barbara. It was such a pleasure working with you. We hope you enjoy many relaxing times in your beautiful sunroom!
Kimber Construction did a GREAT job for us when we had problems with the decking material. They not only had the decking materials replaced under warranty they also got the decking manufacturer to cover the labor costs, which was not included under the standard warranty. We felt that they really had our backs.
BEST! On time, ON BUDGET, QUALITY. BO SURPRISES. We had a complex permitting process, and Kimber Construction was with us through the entire process, and ready to go when the permits came through. I appreciated Kimber's QUALITY, professionalism, value, and GORGEOUS finished build. Also, and truly important to me, their ENTIRE TEAM was wonderful!! I would and DO recommend Kimber for ANYTHING you need. LOVE THEM.
Thank you! You and Ron were so great to work with as well. Just glad we could finally get through all the County hurdles and actually get your projects built and completed!
They schedule their work and stay committed to that schedule. Very helpful and good quality.
Thank you Bob. It was great working with you!
At our request Ken Sides came to our lake residence to quote building a new dock in April 2016. Quote received and we sent check for $2,804.73 on 4/21/16 via mail for necessary permits. Kimber Const cashed check on 4/26. Date of completion tentatively set by 7/4/2016. When we did not hear from them and construction had not begun we called and e-mailed, took several weeks to hear back. Were told there was a family emergency and they were behind. Understanding this we went without our dock this summer but started trying to contact them again in the fall. Oct we were able to reach Barb and she said all permits were good but waiting for Fish and Wildlife to begin. That is the last we have heard from them. We have made dozens of attempts to call the business, left messages, e-mailed and have not gotten a response. Today we researched with Mason County and found that there were no permits of any kind issued to our project. Without receiving return calls or e-mails we are left to assume that permits were never filed for and that our $2,804.73 was misappropriated by Kimber Construction. Also in August 2016 we were asked to mail Kimber Construction a $2,000 deposit made out to the business making the dock ramp. That check was never cashed and after contacting the ramp manufacturer was told that there was never an order for our ramp and they had not filled an order for Kimber since 2008. If we are not contacted by a representative from Kimber Construction by 1/1/2017 we will pursue small claims court.
WE DISPUTE THIS CLAIM. The client did pay $2,804.73 toward permitting fees. Several site visits were made to client property, Plans were drawn by Kimber and Site Map was prepared, Schematics were received from the ramp manufacturer, Permit Applications were prepared by Kimber for all agencies and meetings with the County planner and building dept. were had. Plans were not accepted and needed additional work. There was never a promise of a completion date by 7/4 as the client did not even receive our proposal for the work until 7/8/16 via email. Also, it had been explained to clients that shoreline permitting takes a few months due to the various agencies involved. The owner of Kimber was involved in a near-fatal auto collision with very serious injuries and was unable to perform office duties in a timely manner for a period of time. This was relayed to clients via phone and email. Re: ramp manufacturer: Client had been given the "estimate" for the ramp and the manufacturer required deposit. Kimber did not ask for the deposit from client and certainly would not place an order for a ramp until we had approved permits for the project. Clients knew the check was being held. We have multiple emails regarding this project from the manufacturer in the file as well as the schematics. In the end, even though we had several hours invested in this project and had earned a portion of our fee, we Refunded this client's payment in full of $2,804.73 via Cashier's Check, Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. We are in receipt of the Return Receipt and the canceled Cashier Check. We feel it is unfortunate that this happened and the client felt this way.
I called them about the work to be done. They came out with in 2 days. I told them what I needed and they came out right away and did the job. I was really pleased. They worked approx. 4 hours and the price was very reasonable.
did excellent work but a little anxious to get paid
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, The work performed was professionaly executed and turned out perfectly. The job was scheduled around a short vacation, finished when we returned. Very accommodating and well done.
The entire process to hire Kimber Constructon was efficient. We were pleased with their willingness to find product to fit our budget. The actual window install was quick and our home was left tidy. We would recommend them to anyone and would use them again in the future for other construction needs.
This company was very prompt, informative, and we were fully satisfied with their work.
