Independent Power

IPS did a great job with my install. There was a hiccup (wrong part) but they owned the mistake and made it right quickly! The crew were great to work with and talk to and the process was pretty smooth. One nitpick is that they initially indicated an east-west install is about 5% less efficient, which was surprising to me (other installers say the same), but the math on that shows 15-30% less and that's what I've observed throughout February (about 30% less output from my east-west panels than my south facing ones) so would prefer more knowledge there for others, but I did my research ahead of time and deliberately oversized to account for it. But yes, as far as installers go IPS gave me the best price for the components I wanted and had the most honest sales folks. The crew, project manager, and sales team were all a pleasure to work with!

We had a pair of pigeons starting to build a nest under one of our solar panels, so we asked Independent Power to install a mesh animal guard around our twelve panels. Technician Jim Earl arrived right on schedule and finished the timely installation under some very trying conditions. He had to endure a sudden squall with wind and horizontally blowing sleet. It was short lived, but another heavier snow squall blew in a bit later as he was doing the finishings touches. Even with Mother Nature's challenges, he did a very nice job. We are very pleased with the result.
