Write a ReviewI set an appointment for an estimate for several jobs in and around my home. Storm door installation, fix facia on eave, remove old and install a new through-the-wall air conditioner w/new sleeve which required modest reconfiguration, new bathroom floor, new bathroom vanity faucet and new medicine cabinet with built in lighting. While it took a while to get the estimate back (2 weeks) the appointment for work was set quickly, the workers (referred as technicians) were prompt and work diligently. All the work was performed as promised, each technician was very professional and they took the old air conditioner, sleeve and medicine cabinet with them. The work took 2.5 days and each day the work areas were left clean and neat. I have only one recommendation. I was emailed the estimate and signing it and returning via email and/or fax was tenuous at best. The recommendation - use DocuSign. I used this in several real estate transactions and it was seamless, quick and hassle free. Thanks for the great job, I'll be calling again with more projects!!
Very professional from the start to finish. I received multiple bids on what started out as just some minor repairs needed for a recently purchased home. I called the office and an appointment was set up right away. The estimator (John) came out in about a week and he was very knowledgeable. We went over all of the little things, then talked about some bigger renovations. I was very pleased at this point, but I had to wait two weeks to receive the bid because of the size of the project. While waiting for the bid, I contacted 6 other companies. Two actually came out. One wrote the bid while he was there and the other bid came in about 2 weeks. The bid that was written when the guy was there was super low, but I didn't think he knew what he was doing. Home Solutions' bid came in slightly higher than the other company's, but I felt more comfortable dealing with the estimator. The project started on time and finished a couple days past the proposed timeline (which was ok, because I changed a few things along the way -sorry Barry and Jon). My bathroom is to die for. The tilework looks like it should be in a magazine or on one of the home TV shows. The kitchen turned out amazing as well. They did some great work with the granite and stone. The hardwood floors throughout the first floor are awesome. During the project, I had a foundation water leak in the basement. I was amazed that they were able to repair that as well and partially finish the basement. I thought the deck needed replaced, but the guys assured me otherwise. They washed it down and stained it. It looks just fine. Not as good as a new deck, but it will work for now. Short version- Everything turned out better than expected, pretty much on time and on budget. I look forward to working with them again.
The crew that came to my home were great to work with. I never received a copy of my estimate that I was promised until I was asked to pay. That was the fault of the salesman/estimator. The salesperson led me to believe that some of the extra work that I needed to have done was explained 1 way but written up another way. So therefore what I thought that I was getting was not what I got in the end. Again the crew that came to my home were very professional and I would like to say that always beware of the contract writing.
i enjoyed contracting with this crew. there were no ups and extras after the price that was agreed upon. they customer service was always VERY FRIENDLY and the work and pricing was explained to me in detail before they started. the contract was handled in a professional manner and completely clear as to what work was to be done. i will use them again for my next home project in the future.
The guys (3) were very nice, courteous rather enjoyable to work with. They arrived promptly, asked before they needed to do anything that affected my property and they "worked." I was very pleased with my new deck; it is extremely attractive and very well built. They knew their stuff! for sure. I will use HouseMedic services again.
Bathroom remodel is very nice; I was way overcharged for a very sloppy paint job and the product I was promised was not used. when I asked for a detailed invoice that I was promised, I was met with a great deal of opposition and a detailed invoice was never given. When I questioned about the charges for work that was not completed I again was met with opposition and had to withold payment until the estimate was recalulated. Even then I paid luxury price for middle class work. Because of the opposition I was presented with when questioning work and charges, I will never use or recommend House Medic in the future.
This customer received multiple bids on her bath project and I doubt that she would have selected us if we where "Way Over Charging" She says the bathroom remodel job is very nice, then calls it luxury pricing for middle class work. We are thankful that she will not be calling or using our services again.
Fast, professional and cost effective.
friendly
Our bathroom remodel turned out fabulous! Skilled, quality workmanship throughout. Very detail orientated. Great communication from crew and owner. Will work with them again for our next project.
Todd was pleasant and had excellent knowledge. He also recommended alternatives in materials and design options. I will definitely be referring this business to others.
