Repair Drywall

Hole in the Wall rescued me from my failed attempt to repair my masterbath ceiling. We had a rain shower pipe installed but the ceiling was in need of covering up again. I thought I could do it myself but to no avail. Hole in the Wall was able to come in and finish what I started. The result is a nice smooth ceiling prepared for paint. I will be recommending their services.

Repair Drywall

After a washing machine overflowed on our second floor, we were left with water leaking through our first-floor ceiling. Once the water mitigation was complete, we needed professional drywall and painting work. Mike Miranda and the team at Hole in the Wall showed up early to give us a quote, which turned out to be by far the most fair price we received. Mike gave me a clear date and time, and his team arrived early, exhibiting an excellent work ethic and top-tier professionalism. Their craftsmanship is so flawless that you honestly cannot tell where the damage originally was. Beyond the quality of the work, I felt completely comfortable having them in our house—everyone was incredibly friendly and genuinely cared about ensuring the final result met our expectations. This company will leave your home looking even better than its original state. I highly recommend Hole in the Wall for any drywall or painting needs!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
