A $99 estimate quickly evolved into a $134 cost for vent cleaning that ended with my dryer vent still 80% blocked. I was informed a part of the vent may be disconnected. Cost to access and repair the exhaust vent was quoted between $450 and $850. No favorable allowance to this estimate cost was offered. Not good.

We take our customer satisfaction very seriously. We are sorry for not meeting the expectation of one of our customers. For a 134,00 basic dryer cleaning, we spent 3 hours cleaning a lint clogged vent pipe. Even going into the attic and disconnecting the pipe to clean from both directions. Also cleaning the dryer discharge on the machine. When the customer called us back (free of charge) we went back and cleaned again and also ran an inspection camera, and found no debris ( a second trip and camera inspection is normally an extra charge). We informed the client there must be a problem with the dryer machine.

Our dryer vent was very clogged with lint and it had 90 degree elbows that were trapping condensation and causing mold. Gian the technician looked carefully at it and recommended replacing the tube with a rigid pipe and venting it straight through the roof (eliminating one of the elbows). It cost much more than we anticipated in the beginning but it was a better solution. The owner allowed us to negotiate the price a little lower and Gian did not need to open the wall so they discounted more from the total bid. Overall it was a great experience and we are very happy with the technician's work and their customer service.
