Write a ReviewI needed an estimate on a roof repair. I called a few companies to come out and assess how/where water was coming in to the room below. Of the many contractors to come out and assess the estimate, this was the only contractor to put a price on the estimate, costing $250. I am appreciative that the 'team' was able to make it out on the same day that I called, as rain was in the forecast. However, for the 30 minutes, give or take, of time the 'team' was actually here to assess, I did not receive afterward a thorough assessed estimate of the roof itself, of the possibility of any rafters or foundational issues to be addressed. For $250, I expect that kind of assessment in an estimate, especially after bringing the 'team' out. Rather, I got a standard generic estimate for replacing the shingles and plywood, I agree with many other posts I've read about Handyman Pro, they send the 'team' out so that they can later bill you at an hourly rate for each individual on the 'team'. Scandalous!
Haven't worked with him yet.
Handyman Pro came to my mother’s home to do several little jobs. They were so professional, kind, punctual and explained everything they did. An absolute gem!!!
I was referred to Tony to help with a project I had. I contacted him and found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help. I made an appointment for his first available slot and was more than happy with the job done. They arrived early, the job was done in a timely manner and everything was thoroughly checked again before they left. I am extremely happy with his work and have recommended him to friends and family and will be calling him again for any future projects.
Price Gauging at its finest. Proceed at your own risk. For example: Be on the lookout for being sent 4 people for a 1-person job and doing everything they can to drag out the time clock, thereby allowing them to charge to 4X. There was no communication regarding who was being sent. I had several other quotes from other contractors which were around what i expected to pay. Unfortunately none could do the job in time for my home sale, so I went with whoever could come first. Ended up paying over 2-3X what I should have. Had follow-ups with the other contractors who shook their heads and confirmed this was a 1 person job that could have been done in a half a day. The quality of work was fine, to be fair. But just leaves a slimey taste in the mouth.
Good with people & got the job done.
The owners were courtesous and professional. I felt like they were honest and straight forward. I appreciate that in this day and age when people may give you alot of "talk" and then do whatever they want. They were straight ahead.
They responded quickly and efficiently to my situation, within hours..I am very pleased and look forward to our next project.
Always wary about hiring the unknown, I was absolutely blown away by handyman Pro. If I could give them a 10, I would. From a great website, to Amy, the incredible office manager who answers emails promptly and professionally, to the crew Tony sent out to replace two three panel Andersen door sets and two sliders. Eddie, the crew chief, was amazing and went to extreme details to do things right! Spending 6 hours extra on the second day did not change the price, which was exactly as quoted. I never realized home improvement could be THIS easy! This is the first call you should make for any project. I know I will going forward!
I was quoted $775 to paint a 10’ X 15’ bedroom: $400 for 1st coat of paint; $200 for 2nd coat of paint; $75 to paint heater; $100 to fix a door jam. I added 1 coat to the ceiling. I was billed $1238, a 51% increase in original quote. $68 for supplies & $65/hour per man. I was billed for 9 hours when they were only at my home for 8. They did do a good job with the paint. Showed up 2 hours late on a scheduling mixup on their end. No one likes a 51% increase for painting a ceiling 
It is our philosophy at Handyman Pro that the customer is always right and we will do whatever we can to make sure that our customers are happy with the end result. The end result of this job was no different. The customer told our guys their work was excellent. What this customer doesn't tell you in her review is what condition her walls were in when we arrived. They were covered with holes most the size of a tennis ball. They had to be patched with compound then sanded before the room could be painted. This took a two man crew four to five hours, so yes, there is the discrepancy in the estimated cost that was given over the phone based on her room size. We stand behind our work and are only commenting to defend our reputation.
