My new-roof experience with Exterior Contractors, owned by with Ben Kashirets, not only met my expectations but exceeded them. I had half a dozen roofing companies come out to assess what I needed and make a proposal for my job; none came close to matching the thoroughness, expertise, professionalism, astute advice, and detailed, line-item proposal that Ben offered. In addition, he was very prompt in responding to my call, and in starting and finishing my job. I did not know when I bought my house 9+ years ago that it had two roofs, one over the other, and we were in for a few surprises when Ben looked into my situation. For one thing, the air intake soffits had been covered up from the inside so no air was being pulled in through them. Ben came up with a customized solution so that the whole gutter system didn’t have to be removed. Ben is Ukranian; he came to the U.S. when he was 9 years old, not knowing a word of English. He has since learned one trade after another, enough so that he constructed his own large, beautiful home in Flat Rock (you should see his pictures!) He has built up a very successful roofing business, and the guys who work for him were courteous, really hard working, and extremely neat in their cleanup. I was drawn to contact Exterior Contractors because of the large number of very positive reviews the company received on Home Advisor—for good reason, as I learned from my own experience. I could not be more pleased with the job the company did, or with the good feeling I have that my new roof has been done with expertise and great care.
