I do NOT recommend using Empire. In Oct 2024, I worked with a salesperson in my home to choose a carpet color for my main level to closely match my basement carpet so the colors would blend at the stairs. When installers arrived, I immediately noticed the carpet roll looked much lighter than what I chose. They assured me it was correct, but once installed it was clear that wasn't true. I called the salesperson right away but never heard back. After the installers left, I found dents in walls and doors, greasy handprints on trim, broken closet hardware, a door not reinstalled, and the knob broken off my antique hutch. I reported this and received a $350 credit, but the larger problem remained. The carpet also has installation issues including areas cut too short, uneven seams, loose fibers, and a crinkling sound when walked on. A supervisor inspected it in Apr 2025 and said there appeared to be issues with both the carpet and padding, but I am still waiting on the promised follow up.

The guys who installed the carpet did an excellent job. They do not work for empire directly but outsource the work. Empire: I paid the deposit and the rest was do the day of install. Day of install empire over charged my card. The installers still asked for payment and had to call corporate to see why my card was charged?..also why no payment was showing up. After doing a 3way call with Empire and Capital One nothing was resolved and the CC company confirmed the pending charge. Thus is still a on going issue.

The salesman ordered the wrong flooring. Had to order the original flooring. Push the project back 2-3 weeks. But the installation was quick and easy.

Empire did a good job installing my laminate floors. Definitely expensive and they were unable to do my staircase. I would liked to have known that before choosing their company. Will know for next time.
