    The wrong cove was installed. Floor has a noticeable clump of dried glue at threshold, which is loose. When I called to have it corrected, company could not give a time or date when an installer would be out. They would they ti have us as first call. Eventually, the installer was sent back with the same color cove. He took pix to prove he was given incorrect cove again & stated the company was charging him for their mistake. On 10/13, we received a call stating that someone was in route and would be arriving in 20 minutes (no advance notice or call to see if we were available). There were 4 installers who stated that the install was not done correctly and that they could repair for $149 additional. When customer service was called, they stated no repair would take place because an additional $149 was owed. When asked how this was due, the company rep said that they had a signed contract for that amount. We only have a $877.99 contract but rep insists there is one for $1027. When asked why we did not get any request for this additional money owed at time of install completion, the rep stated we need to talk to bank. We asked for copy of the $1027 contract, but have yet to receive it.

    Install guys were here on 7/20/22. They came after 3 p.m. and left after 10 p.m., Damaged hallway heat diffuser, and put a hammer hole in back side of bathroom door. Flooring was 4 inches short and was left as is. Called numerous times to customer service and was told they would be here again on Tuesday august 2nd--no one showed or called. I then called customer service and was told the installers ran into a problem and would be done at 7:30 p .m. I inquired once again and was told a new appt will be made, someone will call you on 8/3 to make yet another appt.....no one ever called. I did however finally contacted the franklin Wisconsin office about the damage claim, I was told to send pictures (which I did) and to get 3 estimates from handymen and send the lowest price to the franklin office. Needless to say I made numerous calls for this service without any luck. Most stated it is too small a job or they do not do that type of repair. Today 8/4/22 it has been 16 days and empire has not even one attempt to contact me--The job was for laminate flooring. I am a Army veteran and 77 years old---this has been a nightmare this company has put me thru so far. They finally did the repairs on 8/5/22. One person showed after 3 p.m. today but no one ever called to say someone would be here, just lucky we were home. Job finally done.
