First company to respond to my call about a water leak in my closet. They worked with my insurance company during the claim process. Very friendly and professional group. Got the work done in a timely manner and looked good as new when done.

AAA hired ER Disaster Services, and they truly came to my rescue. After my builder, Legacy Homes of Willow Creek (MHP Builders), installed a damaged bathtub that ultimately failed, in this new house, water soaked the carpet, padding, and walls in my brand-new home I had to file a homeowner's insurance claim just to get the process moving, which was incredibly stressful. Thankfully, ER Disaster Services stepped in and handled everything properly. They ensured the affected areas were thoroughly dried and addressed the mold and fungus concerns I'm now completely comfortable that the mitigation was done the right way Professional, responsive, and thorough,. From the panic of making that first phone call because water was flooding my daughters room, to shaking the hands of Matt, Roland, and Brandon when they were all done with the obnoxious color my daughter chose for her room, these guys were unbelievably amazing! They made me feel comfortable, and like my home was in good hands. Never had a company taking such good care of my home for me before! Thanks guys so much you were awesome! P.s. I had an amazing experience with the ER Disaster Team Jorge,Milton, Brandon, George, James and the Office Staff Karen, Chris. They were able to do my mitigation and my home repairs. They work with my insurance company to get the most repairs covered. Their response time is fast and get them job done very well. Looks like nothing never happened. Friendly staff and always keep their customers posted with updates. Would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you

HomeAdvisor uses an extensive screening process to screen businesses and business owners/principals. We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
