Write a ReviewHired DoorWorks to fix a broken cable and spring in 2023. Just under 2 years later, the new pullies failed and it took out both cables and springs, requiring over $540 in additional repairs. Since it was past 90 days manufacturing warranty, they were unwilling to stand behind the product or labor. They said they can?t prove it wasn?t from overuse even though I was willing to share the exact number of cycles from the myQ app. Clearly the parts are not quality or there were issues with the installation, but they try to blame it on the customer for overuse or not keeping up on maintenance when you would need to disassembly the entire system to check the parts. If I wanted to do that, I would?ve done the job myself. As the saying goes, ?good, fast, cheap - pick two?.
I had two garage doors, opener, and tracks installed two and a half years ago. One of the garage doors had the bracket snap when my daughter opened it. When I looked at the other door, I saw the bracket had been installed upside down and had been cut so there was only 1/8" of metal (Pics attached) It's no wonder it broke! I called and eventually got a call back from the "Manager" I asked him to come out and fix it, and he told me that it was only a 1 year warranty and since it was out of warranty he would have to charge me full price for the materials and labor. I asked if he was ok with such a crap a** job and he told me it was company policy and they usually don't install like that anymore since the company was purchased. I asked him to email me his policy and he promised he would.... of course he sent nothing. It's ironic that the company is named Door Works, since eventually you will end up with a door that doesn't.
Horrible. We chose this garage door retailer because we thought it was knowledgeable. Over & over again, we received information that was a moving target. First, we almost walked away from buying doors after a sales rep. told us that they only came in semi-gloss. We had told the sales rep. from Day One that we wanted doors that replicated our matte doors. Oh, wait, we can order doors in a matte brown color! We moved ahead with signing a proposal that comprised manual garage doors (not automatic.) Over & over again, I told the sales that we wanted a receipt of our down payment and he agreed to this. When he appeared onsite at our home to review the proposal, he signed the *proposal* as our receipt. This happened after I asked him (and he agreed) to give us a receipt. It was **only** after my husband demanded a real receipt that Door Works sent us one. After we signed the proposal with information about locks being placed on the door, we learned that the door locks that get place Update as of: 11/25/2025 Horrible. Door Works employee Hernan Arbaiza misrepresented and misled us about an order for new door "panels"/doors with intent. After approx. 5 months after Door Works sales rep. Hernan Arbaiza admitted to my husband that he made a mistake when he ordered Fimbel garage doors and that he placed another new order for the correct "panels"/doors, re-scheduled, then canceled and rescheduled the new "panel" doors installation over & over again, Door Works employee Maryellen Meister told us that Door Works rejected the "claim" for the new panels. She told us that they *never* ordered the new panels ***during the time that Hernan**** communicated to us that the new panels were on order/being manufactured and discussed installation dates. Maryellen Meister also told us that Door Works did not sell a lot of Fimbel doors because of their bespoke/customized design (essentially) after I complained about Hernan's mistakes (e.g., including windows on one proposal **after** we told and showed hi
Very pleased. The recommended lifters are quiet and smooth. Job was done quickly and neatly. Fair price too. I would strongly recommend to family and friends.
I purchased a garage door 3 years ago. After receiving the incorrect door and a small wait the door was installed and worked great for 3 years. Then the inside latch broke and I called for service. A service technician came out and said I provided incorrect information, and asked if I had sent them a photo. A photo of the broken part was not requested when the service was scheduled. He stated the part had to be ordered from the door manufacturer and then offered some half-assed repairs he could make like added handles in various locations, since he thought the door wold not opening smoothly. Even though it opened smoothly for 3 years. I was told I would receive a call back with the cost of the new part. I never heard from anyone. A week later I called to request follow-up information. Still never received a call. I finally called the door manufacturer who provided the name of a service rep from a different company. They came out and fixed the door in 30 minutes, the day the call was made. In hindsight I am sorry I used Door Works, as they do not stand behind their work
Quick repair and honest pricing. Thank you.
no customer service representative got back to me in more than a month. still chasing
Asked them to install garage doors and they left broken sheetrock, unfinished and broken framing, debris in the garage, nails on my driveway. Total mess. Had to hire another contractor to fix the unfinished job. Would not recommend
Job done well
Garage Door Repair: I thought they were very good.
