This kitchen tiling project by Cross Tiles exceeded my expectations in every respect. What began as a straightforward installation revealed an unanticipated structural subfloor issue, yet the team addressed it with technical expertise and practical judgment. They implemented a sound repair solution, and did so at a very reasonable cost—without inflating the scope or disrupting the overall project plan. Their adherence to the original timeline was impressive, especially given the additional subfloor work. Throughout the project, communication was consistent and proactive. They checked in on small details to ensure alignment with my preferences, demonstrating both precision and respect for the homeowner’s perspective. Workmanship was excellent: tile alignment, grout lines, and finishing transitions were executed with care and craftsmanship. Cleanup was thorough at the end of each day, leaving the space orderly and minimizing household disruption.

I hired Matt to tile my bathroom and build a shower. Right after the job was finished, the shower leaked into the bathroom below and destroyed the ceiling. After chasing him down several times, I finally got him to come back out. He said he fixed the problem, and for a short while it looked like he had. I even wrote him a positive review at the time, giving him credit for honesty in coming back to make it right. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The shower is leaking again, the ceiling below is once again ruined, and this time Matt is completely unresponsive. It?s clear the issue comes from poor workmanship ? likely the backing beneath the tile was installed incorrectly, allowing water to soak through. What should have been a professional, lasting bathroom renovation has turned into repeated water damage, wasted money, and endless frustration. The fact that I gave Matt the benefit of the doubt once makes this even more disappointing.

I would highly recommend this contractor. Responded quickly, scheduled promptly and did a quality job in a very timely fashion. Pricing was very fair and they were extremely polite and professional! I will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

Matt is the best! Worked with us through the whole process of a new floor and the unforseen rot under the old floor. He and his team are highly professional and did a beautiful job and in a good time considering the added work plus new drainage around the foundation. We love the new floor that is a beautiful addition to our cottage.
