Natural Stone Restoration & Polishing

Nelson was awesome. Very responsive and professional. Came out to do the job 3 days after I spoke to him. Completely revitalized the look of our marble countertops and made the kitchen look amazing. Protected our cabinets and did clean work. If you need countertop restoration - nelson is the guy to do it. No questions.

Nelson arrived on time and quickly got to work. He explained the process and mentioned that the chip repair will have an odor but the fan he has should assist in ventilation. After a few hours the granite looks new again and the chips are gone with a perfect color match. Great job and friendly with answers to all our questions.

Nelson did an excellent job restoring some Marmiline pieces in our bathroom. He was extremely meticulous and took his time making sure to remove all the stains and scratches in them. The marmiline pieces look better than new! He also filled in a hole in our grout on floor and a chip in one of the new tiles and we can't see them anymore. I highly recommend M&N Stone Restoration and Repair!

I put a nice chip in my Counter today dropping a glass bowl. I called These guys at 4pm and by 5pm Nelson was at my house fixing it. It took about an hour and a half and looks incredible i am so insanely grateful !

Install or Repair Tile

Nelson did an outstanding job restoring the Marmiline pieces in our bathroom. He was very meticulous and took his time making sure that he removed the stains and scratches in them. He is extremely knowledgeable in tile restoration. Periodically, he would have my husband and I look at his work to see if we were happy with how it was turning out. I highly recommended M&N Stone Restoration and Repair LLC!

Repair Solid Surface Countertops

Nelson did an amazing job repairing our quartzite counter top, which had been etched severely by acidic fruit left out over a weekend (derp!!). He made our counter top BETTER than new! He was responsive, prompt, professional and fair on price. He went above and beyond to protect the surrounding walls and cabinets and thoroughly cleaned up when he was done. I can't say enough good things about Nelson and the company as a whole.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
