Reviews
Write a ReviewProject completed and snagging fixed efficiently. Communication with the salesman was difficult and the 3 day deadline to cancel the project was unrealistic as I still had no paperwork on which to base a decision. Also the salesman?s timeframe for completion were beyond optimistic. For 3-4 weeks, read 3-4 months. Luckily gut instinct won through and project completed and does look nice. Waiting for finance pitfalls as salesman promised 2 years same as cash! Product is good quality and fitters were professional and courteous.
I had done some research on replacement windows and was impressed on all three phases of this project. The offer extended to me by the Compozit sales rep was really competitive and attractive especially because the window product and the installation came as one service, everything included. We contracted for the windows during the height of the pandemic and John was respectful when demonstrating the Primax product, setting up in my front yard at a social distance. I don't know a lot about home improvement, but he helped me envision my dream windows and encouraged me to purchase them by offering a contract that I could afford. We chose dark bordered, high quality glass that I can wash easily, and I made the right decision to replace all the windows in my one-story house. I did not communicate often with the company after I ordered the windows, but that was understandable because of .... 2020. Nevertheless, the windows arrived and were installed within the time frame they estimated. The professional window installer they sent, Cody Hensel, was awesome. He obviously has a lot of experience and a high level of skill installing these windows. He worked quickly and without complaint in the hot sun and professionally coordinated with the metal roofing team that was here too. It could have been competitive chaos, but he was cooperative and stayed focused on the window work. At first I was concerned that there was only one of him, but then observed him doing the work of a 5-person crew, tearing down our nasty windows, carefully measuring, prepping, installing the gorgeous new Primax, and cleaning up nicely afterward. He even explained the final payment process to me, and incidentally, the financing they set up was processed flawslessly. The third important phase of this, the biggest purchase of my life, was in follow-up with the Compozit company. I love, love, love my new windows, but there was one small issue that I had to resolve before 100%, 5-Star satisfaction. During ordinary, non-pandemic times, I may have been able to resolve it sooner, but especially now there are few other construction companies who would spare their top people to call me and talk through my relatively minor concern and resolve it mutually to make sure I am happy in the short- and long-term with my overall service. Thank you so much. I can already tell the difference in the temperature inside the house, I love my new clear views of the outdoors, and am looking forward to the energy savings.
Thank you so much for your kind review, Treacy! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us for any of your home improvement needs in the future.
They do nice work however they are not very good in commun ications.
The initial installation was good, six windows in one day. Three years on, I discovered the biggest window had sagged in the middle: it was installed OVER a carpenter ants' nest in rotted wood. They had used a plain steel screw through the middle of the sliding channel, which rusted and allowed a slow drip, which spread the rot. I repaired it myself, which took 3 days. They did not admit to fault: only agreeing to not charge me their $75 service call. Their installers are careless and willing to hide defects in order to finish.
I hired this company to replace 10 windows. They replaced a large 2 slider window which they installed because the sliders were very hard to open. The frame had to be replaced. Another slider window leaked water. All windows leak air. Windows are generally of poor quality. Almost all corner beads were broken at each window. I would never patronize this company again. Horrible product and service. My window salesman from this company has conveniently become impossible to locate.
Nice to work with and the process should only take a month to complete. Did not feel any pressure to buy.
Professional people and outstanding products.
The only thing I would have liked is an estimate on the time it takes to order and install. It was a month which is fine but I did not know it would take that long. Very worth the wait, it looks beautiful.
During the solicitation and sales process their customer service was great. Calls, follow up, and very professioanl. However, once the sale was made I have not heard from anyone at Primax since the installation. The windows look great and function very well. Everything was exceptional except the follow up after the job. Nobody from the company called to see if all went well and it has been 3 weeks since installation. The second issue is the contractors did not do a good job of clean up after installation which meant more work for me to have to pick up scraps and throw things away.
great service. A little expensive but worth it.
