Technician turned out to be the owner. He was very professional and experienced. He found the problem quickly and repaired the system nearly as quickly. He spent some time explaining the cause of the problem and how to maintain the Central Vacuum System. After he left, we thought the vacuum was still not operating properly. I called him on his cell phone. He turned around and came back, saw what we were doing wrong with the operation of the vacuum. He very quickly was back on his way. Hired Colonial Vacuum Service, Inc. to check our central vacuum system, because it had lost a great deal of suction. Chuck arrived on time and performed a complete system check, concluding that the vacuum unit's fabric filter was clogged, confirming my own suspicion. Since the unit was 16 years old and had been starved of cooling air for part of that time due to the clogged filter, the motor was considered near end of life, and I elected to replace the unit. The cost was not a great deal more than repairing the existing unit. The work was done promptly and professionally, and as promised, the improvement in suction was dramatic. Chuck recommended the muffler "hat" that fits atop the motor, and I needed a replacement wand, all of which were delivered later, as promised. All personnel with whom we communicated were pleasant and courteous and did all that they promised to do. And the end product is most satisfactory.

Excellent in every way. Great communication. Appointment was made, and on time, with updates along the way. My central vac was examined, options given. I felt no pressure. Service was completed on the spot. All areas left clean and neat when finished. I can not tell you HOW LONG it has been, since I have received service this wonderful. The company is a keeper, and so highly recommended by me.
