Donâ t Do It! You get less than you pay for, For my family and me we were looking for a good construction deck builder who could get in and get the job done and roll out in a timely manner. As I was looking, I came across CR, headed by Robert, who wanted to be called Bob, I shared our Deck project and Bob assured us the deck was no problem along with a small fireplace stone wall inside which he could complete the entire project in 2 weeks or so, We wereI happy to hear this, Bob who is approaching 70, started out with a number of what seemed to be simi-skilled craftsmen, but they were always changing, never a consistent crew, Bob and crew start late and always leaving early, never did a full 8 hour shift, 6 weeks after Bob had not completed the project, and had let all of the help go, and was trying to complete the work himself, now Bob required so much down and On paper said we had time for 2 additional payments as the project progressed. However before one nail was installed on the project Bob was requesting more money within the week, and more and more, I had paid the initial project in full before I knew it and now one nail, a big mistake as right away Bob and the crew were no show for days and eventually Bob was the only showing for an hour or two here and there, we spoke to him many times about it and informed him that we needed him to complete the project a certain date, but his actions indicated he didnâ t care about our daughter graduating event approaching now 7 weeks later, I had to let Bob go with the projects incomplete; he wasnâ t accomplishing anything. We found Bob was not following our instructions of what we needed, but doing what he wanted. The supplies for the project were subpar and lumber had many big cracks and he wasnâ t planning to add bolts to handrail, and had screws where bolts should have been, now we are finishing a project that Robert of Chicago Renovators was paid to do, yet didnâ t because Bob is not the guy for major projects. Sham operations, full of lies, and promises.

Hired to demo an existing deck and build new. The project took well over 3 months to complete. Some of the delay was due to the amount of rain that we had but much of it was related to the fact there was no one to do the work. Much of the work had to be done and done again because it wasn't completed correctly the first time. The final result looks nice but screws were left all over in the gaps between boards. Hoping the end product was constructed well enough to last.

Quality work Project was underestimated for time

Hired Chicago Renovators for a basement remodel. They did a great job on all parts of the project and were extremely competitive in the pricing aspect.

Bob responded to my initial request and was available to give a quote within the hour. He understood what I was wanting for my deck replacement, and he delivered on everything that he promised. It took a little while to complete the project; however, there weren't any deadlines that I needed to meet. The finished product was well worth the wait!! Bob kept me in the loop as to what was happening and the adjustments that needed to be made. I was very pleased with the finishing touches and routing of the deck. He also went above and beyond and removed the debris from the old decking -- totally not expected since we didn't discuss that as part of the project. I would happily do business with him again.

Good price, done quickly, kept me informed, would highly recommend.

They have good craftsmanship. They care about their work and they did good.

He has great workers. He is very informant on what is going on. He is just a great guy all around. I was very happy with all that he had done.
