Reviews
Write a ReviewCarico Drywall just finished my garage, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality of their work was outstanding, and the finished product looks fantastic. They were professional, showed up when they said they would, kept the area clean, and paid attention to the details throughout the entire job. Communication was great from start to finish, and it was clear they take pride in their work. I highly recommend Carico Drywall to anyone looking for high-quality drywall work. I would definitely use them again for future projects.
Kyle and his crew did a great job on my project. My project involved demoing ceilings in my bedrooms and hallway that were detaching from the rafters for some reason, then installed new drywall ceilings, finished and painted them. I also had them install screws in the ceilings of the remaining bedrooms to ensure those ceilings would stay in place. They finished and painted those ceilings as well. Kyle and his crew worked hard every day and did great high-quality work. They were a pleasure to work with; I would definitely have them back in the future.
Kyle and his crew did a great job of installing drywall on time and at very good price. My room looks great. Thanks guys!
The customer service was GREAT, couldn't ask for any better. 5 stars for me. Also price was very reasonable for the outstanding job they did.
Excellent work! The company repaired existing drywall and replaced old drywall that had mold. The new taping and mudding job was superb. I would definitely hire again
Kyle and his team were truly exceptional!! An honest, hardworking and amazing experience. He did our insulation, drywall and basement shelving. Every single piece of work was at a very high level. My husband and I will Only use Kyle for any future projects!
I chose Carico Drywall because of his attention to detail, the fact he came out to give me an estimate, and the fact that he uses Union Drywall Installers. He was my 3rd bid in my buildout for my garage, and he was the highest bid by far. But the fact that he came to my house, met with me, explained and asked good genuine questions proved to me that he was the correct person to do the job. My garage is 1500sqft (30 ft deep , 50 ft wide) ceiling height is 18ft. At the peak, its roughly 22ft. I used R21 batting in the walls and 6 to 7 inches of open cell spray foam in the ceiling. The shop was drywalled with 5/16 inch drywall, no real need for anything thicker since the insulation keeps most sound dampened. I didnt tackle the drywall, because I felt like that would have taken me forever. Would i recommend Carico to do more projects? Yes I would.
Id choose a different contractor. For sure. Lots of problems. Tons of excuses. He goes dark on communication for extended periods. Buries his head in the sand. Work quality seems adequate but WAY WAY WAY too much drama. Tons of whining and complaining. Blames everyone else. Promises to come at prescribed times then never shows. Promises to complete the job. No show. Over and over. Just more bogus excuses. Then, after he is a now show for extended periods of time, other contractors back fill to do work in the area he was supposed to be working in and he pops in unannounced - maybe a week late - sees someone doing something (like moving an electrical box behind a range) then disappears again using that as his excuse for not showing up during the prior 2 weeks. We had to spend considerable time and money finding electrical outlets and HVAC ducts his team just covered up with drywall. Of course, he blamed that on other contractors. Lots more to add but out of space
Hello, Thank you for the review. Despite what you may believe, I am happy to receive this negative feedback. I genuinely hope it deters any other client or company who would try to take advantage of my services as you have done. Going dark on communication is amusing as I have hundreds of texts and call logs between us over the last seven months. You seemed to believe my work was better than adequate originally. My "drama" is my response to your entitled and aggressive behavior and demands, and not me being "whiney like your daughters". As I stated in the 6-page email to you, the concerns that I tried numerous times to bring to your attention over seven months, were not trivial but monumental and your lack of concern caused significant problems leading to this point where you expect me to remedy everything for you. I will not go into great detail in my response to you, because I am a respectable person but we both know this is not a proper representation of what has occurred between us, and it is slander. The considerable time and money you mentioned spending on covered receptacles and HVAC was due to your workers or subcontractors, and not my hangers being careless, and it was the most trivial issue I had to remedy for you. I was also onsite during the majority of that, and it may have taken a few hours tops. The real reason we are no longer on good terms is due to your project's unreliable timelines or lack thereof, unrealistic expectations, added work not included in the bid, refusal to pay me fairly for the additional work, dismissive attitude towards my concerns, aggressive and entitled responses and expectations that I was to halt my other projects to be at your beck and call. We will be in touch. Again, thank you for the review. It is appreciated. Sincerely, "Just a painter and not a graduate from Northwestern with tons of money and real estate"
Pleasure to work with and Kyle was very professional. The work he did was great. Our home looks amazing
Carico Drywall did a phenomenal job with our retrofit drywall install project. Kyle was: - Extremely customer service oriented - Super friendly - Accommodating of a couple special requests we made associated to a child with special needs - Immediately responsive to our request Carico was able to start and complete the project in less than 2 weeks (which included installing 275 linear feet of drywall, taping/mudding/sanding to prep for paint). Kyle was also able to complete a follow up project to prime and paint the entire basement in 2 nights. The two jobs took less than two weeks. In summary Carico did a quality job in a very short timeline surpassing our aggressive schedule.
