SB Electrical was great to work with. They called prior to the job to let me know how the job would be handled. Showed up on time the day the work was to begin, discussed the work to be done and completed the job as promised in two days. I would absolutely use their services again and recommend them for any handyman project one might have. Barrett and Mariela provided great customer service during the project and for the following-up as well.

Lawn & Yard Waste Clean Up

I put in a request on Angie's list to have some emergency bush and tree removal and tree trimming down at my house. SB responded to the request within an hour and at a price that was significantly less than the next lowest bidder. They completed the work the same day and did a fantastic job. Their workers were very polite and thoughtful. I would definitely use SB again.

Add or Remove Holiday Lighting- Materials provided by homeowner

I needed to get my Christmas lights up and my normal guy wasn not getting back to me. I wrote down a bunch of numbers and also put the project in Angi?s list. As soon as I did Barrett reached out to me and set up an appointment to come out the next day. I liked him immediately and I felt confident he was the guy. Furthermore, he was able to come out a day and a half later which was perfect because I wanted them up before my wife came back from vacation. And they turned out great!! Im super happy and you can see from the photo he and Julio did a fabulous job. I would recommend them to anyone and he is my go to guy moving forward!

Thank you for your business, Mark, but honestly, that was an excellent price ... assembled 3 cabinets, gas, labor, and lead that we paid to angie leads.. (note wasn't 45 minutes job was 2 hours job .) people don't realize that at this time, everything is expensive.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
