Black Rock Paving

My mother was quoted a specific price by James to do a portion of our driveway with their asphalt with a 5 year guarantee. James was great at first, but when work was done sent Cory out too "supervise" the work. They were able to perform the work in one day, but Cory made several unprofessional remarks such as "you guys must be millionaires" to my mother which made her very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, she is very passive so avoids confrontation which made it easy for this ***** to take advantage. Though he was assured that was not the case, and they had owned the property for years and are now on a retirees income, Cory DOUBLED the price! Even after explaining that was not what we were quoted and that she did not have the money to cover all of that right now, he convinced her to write 2 separate checks and they would delay the second ones payment (gee, what a guy). Less than a month and it's alread falling apart and they refuse to contact back.SCAM!

Incredible experience working with BackRock. They were extremely professional, courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. Called them on a Monday and had our 3800 sq ft driveway done by that Wednesday. All of their workers were a pleasure to talk to and they even cleaned our pool while they were waiting for asphalt. 10/10 recommendations and will be using them in the future for other projects.

Very promt and did a good job

Great company. The project manager Alex stating close contact with me with changes that may have affected my project. His crew showed up today at the time that he said they would and they were out of here within 4 hours and I have a beautiful driveway. Outstanding work, and outstanding customer service. The crew respected my property and left no trash behind. Picked up every water bottle that they left that they laid down while working. Will definitely consider hiring them again if needed in the future.

Our driveway needed repair. After checking online and making calls, I contacted Black Rock Paving. James came over and answered all my questions. We decided on chip and tar because our driveway is very long. The price was fair and reasonable. James and his crew were awesome. . The work was completed within the time frame given. Anthony and all of the crew members were friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. We strongly recommend Black Rock Paving.

These guys were great! They hustle all day to get the job done.. I believe the driveway was around 1400 ft.They had ourdriveway done in no time. They came out got it done to beat rain. Our driveway was mostly dirt when it rains there were spots that was so bad you just prayed you made it through. Now we have have a beautiful driveway Thanks to Black Rock Pavers. I can't say enough about these guys Honest, true to their words,friendly,hard working. Cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend this Company to anybody and everybody. We worked with Dave and James...who sold us on chip seal driveway versus the asphalt driveway we had. They claimed it would be a solid surface, no loose rock, zero maintenance and would last 15-20 year. Well, we spent over 50k and were left with an incredibly bumpy/severely cracked, loose, uneven, gravel road. We were told it would be maintenance free and last 15-20 years...well, it didn't quite make it 4 months. We have 2-3 inches of gravel sitting on top of our 1/2 mile formerly smooth asphalt drive. Apparently this is necessary for 1 month...although it has now been nearly 9. We are currently in limbo...waiting for them to come sweep the road/remove the layers upon layers of loose rock so we can see this solid/smooth finish we were promised. In the meantime...I swept a few areas and it looks just bad. We have been living with essentially a gravel road since March...which is nuts. I have held off on reviewing because I do personally like both James and Matt (main owner who has to clean up Daves mess). However, everyday I drive down my road...I feel further frustrated and taken advantage of. Until this is remedied...I have no choice but to share our experience. Once remedied...I will promptly delete my review and all of the photos.

Black Rock Paving did an excellent job paving my driveway and carport area. I chose the hot mix asphalt. They listened to what I said I wanted and made it happen. The asphalt is super thick and they formed it to drain towards my front easement. Called me a few days later to make sure everything was done to my standards. They are professional, competent and returned calls quickly. My driveway turned out beautifully. All my neighbors are stopping now to find who did my paving. If you are looking to get asphalt paving I highly recommend Black Rock.
