B&D Sealcoating and More

On April 25, 2024, we had a bad experience with B&D Sealcoating & More, William â Billâ Kester and Dustin Wackwitz (â B&Dâ ). They dug out a trench where our driveway meets our garage floor and left a serious trip hazard and perfect place for water to pool to cause more property damage (pictures attached). Perhaps they ran out of materials and just decided to call it a day (since they began work at the street and worked their way up to the garage, that explanation seems plausible). I wasnâ t home when they finished, and my husband had given them the $1,450 check earlier (which they cashed at our bank after leaving our home) so withholding funds wasn't an option. We were very dissatisfied but, after receiving a text from the person who recommended B&D warning us to NOT hire them because of newly-discovered information, we decided to just cut our losses and hire someone else to finish the job. Until now, the only person we confided in about our dissatisfaction with B&D was the author of the warning text. Unfortunately, the author of the warning text recently shared our dissatisfaction with William â Billâ Kester and he sent us several threatening and taunting messages. We are in the process of finalizing a complaint with the PA Attorney General and exploring legal options.

I strongly advise against using this company for seal coating work. Our driveway cracks have not been fixed or properly sealed; instead, we have encountered nothing but difficulties. It started when 3/4 of the way through, they ran out of product to fill the cracks and just seal coated the rest of the driveway, said theyâ d be back to finish. Not even 1/2 the cracks filled, and a horrible job in my opinion on sealing it, including spots that werenâ t even covered. We waited over a week for someone to return. When he came back he slapped some filler on the driveway and said there were a lot more cracks than they thought and it would cost more to finish it right. Just two weeks after the work was done, we have grass growing through already. It was like they rushed through it with no care of the finished look. You can see the photos for yourself, and also make sure your they really look at your cracks before they start working or they will tell you, â they couldnâ t see as far down in the cracks until they dig them outâ . B&D did a fantabulous job on my driveway which is a circular driveway as well as a standard straight driveway. They come at your convenience to give you an estimation. Price was very affordable and the job was completed in a day. They are very professional, do meticulous work, and I am planning on hiring them for future home improvement projects. These guys rock!
