Repair or Service a Water Treatment & Purification System

Asked for system to remove mineral deposits. Well upon yearly service, water heater drained and ton of mineral deposits came out.talked to teck. Said not doing business with whirlpool anymore and will be contacted to swap unit. We'll this AM another plumber from company called and said need softener system. Will sell at discounted price of 1500. After being taken for a 2500 unit that doesn't do the job? Wouldn't give this company the right time of day

The guy that came to do the bid was very knowledgeable but the 2 that came to work on it the next day weren't. One looked to still be a kid. The price was about double what was expected in the bid but they could work on it next day. The sinks cutouts were very wide and we had to ask a large cover be added around. The pipes were much further from the ceiling than needed at least a foot or more. These are issues a more experienced plumber would not have caused. We will likely have to redo it later in the basement area

The customer service I received from Ashley Gomez was outstanding. She walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. Also, the service technician (very professional, experienced, and customer oriented) - Jordan Moore installed my heater and I am truly pleased with work completed by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Timely, efficient, knowledgeable and courteous! I will most definitely hire them again for any further plumbing needs.

Horrible final install!! They wont call me. I had $50,000 of work done, some done very well and some not. Not happy! Call me and fix it!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
