They arrived on time and completed the work very well. They found a "sleeping dog" issue. The house's water pressure was 30 psi over residential code limit of 80 psi. They installed a pressure relief value to resolve this "sleeping dog" issue.

Our water heater broke on a Friday night. Our regular plumber had surgery and was not able to assist, so my husband went on Angies list. Benjamin Franklin was the first to respond on Saturday morning and showed up promptly. The technician told us our old hot water could not be saved, which seemed odd because it was only 2 years old. We were told that we should replace it with an electric hot water heater. The price quoted was $8,100. I thought the price seemed high, but I was assured that electric water heaters are more expensive than the heater we previously had and that it came with a 10-year warranty. We also were in a bit of a bind because we have 4 children, and a major snowstorm was to hit that night. I wasn't sure when a technician would be able to come out again. After the job was finished, my normal plumber called to find out what work was done and how much we were charged. When I told him, he explained that we had been scammed. I gave him the make and the model of the water heater, and he told me that at most it cost $1,700 and there was only one technician at our home for about 6 hours. I have no idea how they arrived at $8,100, and Benjamin Franklin is refusing to give us an itemized bill. I feel like we were definitely taken advantage of. I am hopeful that Angies list stops recommending Benjamin Franklin and can speak to them about adjusting our bill, as they refuse to work with us in any way.

After seven phone calls nobody follow up and we still had a major problem with the sewer backing up in this house. Nobody, nobody even called.

Great and fast work. Very good repairman. Completed the same day of response. Plumber arrived in fully stocked truck. No baloney, phone calls to the shop or anything like that. I highly recommend Benjamin plumbing.

Kudos to Joe F. with Benjamin Franklin for completing a major drain line rerouting that more than likely has been the source of long standing issues. He explained each step in the process for the intial estimate and during the work and provided thoughtful analysis for future projects I'm considering. After the work was completed one of my water lines begin to leak and I had both lines replaced during the same visit. I really appreciate the quality workmanship and respect for my home Joe showed and will include Benjamin Franklin in estimates for future projects.
