Having worked for, represententing, consulted with dozens of industry leading manufacturers (i.e. Fosgate Audionics, Runco, Stewart Filmscreen, JBL Synthesis, B&K Components, Snell Acoustics, Russound, SpeakerCraft, JM Lab, Sonance) also developed 12 day course for low voltage installation course curriculum and served as instructor for trade schools in Tempe, AZ and Toronto, CAN. Daniel diagnosed the issue right off the bat and ordered the correct part. We love our plasma TV that is not even 3 years old and were frustrated to learn that plasma TVs have been discontinued, but he had ours back up and working within a week. Great service and we highly recommend him for all your TV/Audio needs.

Dan is a good guy, explained how to use "smart" tv features. I will use Dan again!

Response from Company:

Customer didn't mention that I set up his network, and moved and remounted a total of 3 TV's, the largest being a 75" Samsung on an articulating mount. Also added and upgraded functions on his Bose system (including a digital optical for the Smart Apps) and upgraded his remote. Instructed how to use his Blu-Ray through the Bose that the customer was unaware of. Being that the state of the industry, all components are purchased online (Amazon) and 75" requires 2 men to mount, labor can't be as competitive as an online Amazon purchase.

Was one third the price of other companies that bid for job of pre-wiring new construction house for TV, stereo speakers, and internet service. Installed extra cables for future expansion at no additional cost. Received more than what was bid for the job.

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
