I wish there was an option for zero stars with an alert. Always Ready Repair installed Magic Pak furnace in my home on the 13th of December, 2022. Less than one week after installation I contacted Always Ready Repair of the humming noise and odd smell. I had NICOR come out to confirm it was not a gas leak and/or carbon monoxide. I did not hear from Always Ready Repair until after the holiday season. This was after my brother contacted them on my behalf due to lack of response. They came out on the 5th of January and the 18th of January still not resolution. The humming noise was still there and the awful smell. After making multiple calls to Always Ready Repair for resolution, they stopped responding. I contacted banking institutions and filed a dispute for $4,985.00 and $3,200.00. Both banking institutions requested documentations which was provided. Late March 2023 i was finally able to get second opinion. This company stated (see images) new furnace heat exchanger should not look (see images) this way or make a loud humming sound. I was told by the distributor whom Always Ready Repair purchased the unit and manufacturer of the unit. Always Ready Repair installed a unit that does not meet load calculation standards and Illinois air flow requirements. Always Ready Repair installed the wrong size unit. One banking institution did hold Always Ready Repair accountable and refunded $4,985.00 and the other banking institution $3200.00 is still being addressed. Prior to selecting them company I had three proposal for replacement of my unit. 1) a little over $5K 2) a little over $6K 3) Always Ready Repair over $8K Hope this review helps so many others.
