Previously operating as Alpine Gutters, NW Gutter Guards was formed under a rebrand to focus on pursuing the niche market of eliminating your yearly service of gutter cleaning.

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because :While previously operating Alpine Gutters, our team became increasingly aware of the misinformation, and general lack of clarity around gutter guards. Manufacturers mislead homeowners claiming their guard works in every situation- something we observed to be false. Through the years, we began to identify trends of which guards worked in which conditions. For all five of its years in operation, Alpine Gutters received ONLY five star reviews. In 2020, the strategic yet difficult decision was made to close and rebrand under a new name to pursue a growing, niche, and new market. Thus, we rebranded under one sector of our business, and NW Gutter Guards was born..

Repair or Replace Section of Seamless Metal Gutters

We hired Alpine Gutters to clean out our gutters two times a year since there are lots of leaves and road dust in our area. Carson, the company's owner, is very easy to communicate with by texting for scheduling cleaning dates. He arrives on time, is very thorough, reliable and has reasonable rates. While up on the rooftop, he also inspects for potential issues and offers a quote for repair. We highly recommend Carson and Alpine Gutters!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
