Our lawn is in rough shape from the weather last summer and our two dogs. I'm looking to have the yard graded and new sod put in. The back 1/3 of my yard is sloped upward and has rocks/wood chips, and there are several really large beams/rocks at the bottom of the slope that need to be removed. I am hoping to transplant several ferns and flowers to the front yard as we would like the entire back yard to be grass. There is also a fire pit and fenced in garden area that I want removed (I will build a new fire pit and raised garden beds later). We can do all of the prep work aside from removing the beams as they will need to be hauled out with a bobcat. I am also interested in pricing for a sprinkler system but not sold on getting one. The back yard is fenced in with gates on either side, one of which is 5 ft. I know next to nothing about grass types so open to suggestions. Our house faces south and the front yard fries to a crisp if not watered enough. Hoping for a type that can handle lots of sun. We do have a water main that runs through the back yard directly on my property line. My neighbors on either side have sprinkler systems that run right up to both property lines.
