"A and GJ Construction did a great job replacing my home asphalt-shingle roof. The owner, Arian, is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My roof was completely replaced in 3 days for a very reasonable price. After the job was done, they left everything spotless clean. There was a leak due to a defective skylight from a previous installation, and Arian came back to take a look and fixed it at no extra cost. It turned out to be a defective glass seal, which Arian resealed using clear silicone. After the roof was replaced, it rained for two consecutive days and Arian called me each day to make sure there was no leak. Sometimes after we pay contractors, they do not even bother to follow up; and even to get in touch with them can be difficult after they get their money (but not Arian). Arian answered my call each time. He takes pride in his work which is rare nowadays. I already recommended him to do another roof repair job, which he successfully completed on time and as promised. I highly recommend A and GJ Construction for roofing replacement or repairs."

"Several of my family members who live out of the tri-state area had installed fireplace inserts, and they were really pleased with them. The price they paid was considerably less (about 40% less) than the places I checked on Long Island. I wasn't about to overpay for a fireplace insert because I went to a fancy showroom. Looking on Craigslist.com, I found Captain Soot. He asked me to describe my fireplace (which was built in 1962) and provide him with overall outside dimensions and depth of the firebox. He suggested the same model that my family members had installed, and the price was right! I also needed a new chimney which he gave me a good price on. The Captain almost seemed too good to be true. I thought there had to be a catch, but no! He showed up when he said he would, with the fireplace model & finish we discussed, with the new flue, all at the price we discussed and did everything professionally and quickly. We have had our insert for two years, and the Captain recommended that after two years we get the flue cleaned. There is no one else would would rather have maintain our fireplace. "Took 3 visits but was well worth the time, attention and patience to get the job done right. First day was inspection and quote for repairs/materials. Work started that day to patch the cement crown that was cracked and channeling water down one side of the chimney eroding bricks. A bowed metal plate on the chimney to shed water between the two flue caps was flattened and sealed with cement so it did not show from the ground and so flies would stop entering into the house thru one of the flues. Crumbling mortar was replaced between bricks and bricks were waterproofed. The chimney was measured and the cap to cover the entire chimney was ordered. The 2nd visit got rained out. The 3rd visit was a good weather day and the cap was assembled, installed and cemented in place. It is amazing how strong the animal guard around the 4 sides of the chimney is. The crew at all times was friendly, courteous & very competent being careful to do the entire project as if it was their home."

"After a quick visual inspection of my chimney he gave me an estimate to replace the top flue, fix the crown and install a new stainless steel chimney cap. Eddie and his crew arrived as scheduled and performed the work as promised. As a curtesy, they even removed old antenna straps that were no longer in use on the chimney and blew out the gutters as they cleaned up the work area. Eddie also recommended a new stainless steel chimney liner because the current original liner was degraded and failing. I am extremely satisfied with the work and attention to detail by Eddie and his crew. They are professional and knowledgeable.
