"Wow. Wow wow wow. These guys are knowledgeable, fast, friendly, hardworking, helpful, really everything you’d want in someone working on a potentially very dangerous piece of your house. David, Antonio, and Gustav all came to our house and quickly identified all issues and potential fixes for our 60 year old fireplace. They told us which repairs were essential for safety, and which ones were nice-to-haves. They cleaned our entire system, replaced the crown, and fixed all the things that previous owner had done himself and were just not safe. "Very knowledgeable about fire codes. I wanted to do something that I didn't know was not per code. A different contractor recommended this action. As soon as I discussed my plan with Isaac, he told me it was not per code. They did a great job repairing and resurfacing our fireplace. They also repaired the mortar on both of our chimneys. "My 1938 home (purchased in August 2022) was in need of serious repair, especially the brick exterior and chimney. Several other contractors gave estimates that seemed either clueless or predatory. Then came Ekraam - the master technician from Powers. He was kind enough to make the drive from up north to West Seattle on a Saturday when the bridge was still out! One look at my house and he said that any repair to the brick would be worthless in a couple of years. Better to remove it and replace it or put on siding instead. As for the chimney, he asked why I needed it since the house had no fireplace. Briefly stated, he could have sold me a job but instead he informed and counselled me on how to solve it. I ran out of time for repairs so the lovely and amazingly organized Connie - my contact at powers - arranged for Ekraam to remove the chimney on very short notice. "Prompt and professional, Sound Brickworks did a great job repairing our paver stone walkway that had suffered damage and warping after a decade or more of cedar tree roots and rain. They removed the existing pavers, leveled the ground, re-installed the stones, plus some extra, and finished with a sand grout. They even repaired a side garden area for a little extra, that was a nice a bonus for us!"
