"We had several different companies in mind for our master bedroom flooring project, but we ended up going with Troy at Top Notch Construction! We are SO glad we found him and his crew. Troy came out and did the measurements for our bedroom floor, and he was as able to give me an estimate in writing right away. His estimate for labor and removal of our old carpet (it was nasty, pet stained, etc.) and to install the new flooring was completely fair and doable! We were able to schedule the project within a week of our estimate, and the hey were even able to start a bit earlier and ended the project with my bedroom cleaner than when they started! Our floors look and feel amazing! He provided the trim boards and put down the transition strips between doors and rooms. The entire project from start to finish went way beyond my expectations! I'm going to have him come out for an estimate on our deck next! Again, Troy and his crew were on time, totally patient with me as I picked out the exact luxury vinyl flooring, and he remained non biased about flooring material brands, and that says a lot about a company! "Ken and son Ethan completely removed and upgraded my deck this spring (2023). We started with sketches of the new deck we wanted, and Ken gave good advice on the cost drivers, construction implications, some style elements before we finalized the design details. With a lot of wet weather, the pace was a bit slow, but it was clear I was his priority. When it was required to slow down to get the details right, he would always take his time. He knew I was interested in the details, and he did not hesitate to talk over both design and construction details as the project progressed. The foundation/structure is clearly stronger and an upgrade compared to my original deck. The composite decking boards accommodated a couple deck levels, some edge picture framing, and a board layout without spliced boards. It turned out we asked for a non-standard railing construction because of the octagonal deck shape and the cocktail rail, but Ken spent a couple extra days to work out the details and make it come together well. Overall we are quite happy with our new deck and with Ken's work. His experience and confidence were clear throughout the execution of the project."
