I say this because he was the one among dozens of HVAC service providers who answered the call late last Tuesday night when our AC decided to go on strike on the eve of a day slated for a triple-digit heat index. Matt arrived at our house at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning after having completed a job 40 minutes away. He performed a thorough cleaning on the unit, replaced a weak capacitor, and charged it up with coolant, and voila - our aging system was running like a dream and bringing the house down from a temp in the low 80s to a much more livable temp in the low 70s in short order. "The technician was not only on-time, he called me when he was 20 minutes out to assure me he was on the way. He had all of the necessary parts and equipment on his truck and was completely done with the project -- replacing the glass and seals of my gas fireplace -- within 45 minutes. While the old glass was removed, he cleaned the interior of the fireplace and replaced the old embers, neither of which was required by the contract. After putting the new glass and seals in place, he then tested to ensure no carbon monoxide was seeping into the house. The fireplace looks like it is brand new and it functions perfectly. I am totally satisfied with the job, and the price was very reasonable. The technician left details of a service program, but did not pressure me in any way to sign up. "As a new owner of the home, I contacted Livingston Fireplace Repair for a cleaning and inspection of my Gas Log Set since the set was more 12 years old and it appeared that the unit had not been cleaned for several years. Mike Livingston came into my home with protective floor covering and all the right tools. During the cleaning of the fireplace and gas log set, he pointed out to me that the set was not the right size for the unit and would not produce the heat that I was looking for. He proposed several new sets that I evaluated and selected one that would meet our needs. He worked with the supply folks from Suburban Propane to insure I had no leaks and a nice clean flow of Propane into the unit. He worked with me on three separate occasions from the cleaning right through to completion. He was always accommodating to my schedule. He is a true professional who knows how to get the job done."
