Comment: Hello, my DirecTV dish has dropped signal strength on specific channels that are likely linked to same satellite number (like 103 or 105, etc.). It has been consistent for several weeks - I suspect one of the strong storms/wind in January here may have moved it slightly and the bolts are not fully tightened (or LNB moved).
DirecTV contractor technicians will no longer service this dish - where they originally installed it years ago - due to its location on the roof. My backyard is full of tall hardwood trees and the line of sight had to be achieved slightly (2-3 feet I think) up the main roof slope (which is pretty steep) - accessed just above a small roof segment that is not very steep/sloped at all.
You do need a tall ladder to reach that small roof segment, though (maybe 25-35 feet?).
So, I am searching for a technician who can adjust the dish, tighten anything loose, and make sure it is aligned to all of the DirecTV sats and we can check the signal strength on the TV. It is in 60s or 70s now for several sat numbers. And, someone who is trained and comfortable to safely access the dish on this roof - it would also be best to have at least 2 techs/people, I think. Otherwise, I will be forced to explore new options. Hope that helps, thanks.
