After evaluating my 14 year old unit, he indicated that he could replace the fan but pointed out the significant corrosion on the coil and evaporator. He suggested that I may want to consider a new unit in view of what would undoubtedly be additional repair costs in the near future. As I have had some recent AC experience in a previous home I concurred with his appraisal of the unit and asked him to price one out for me.
