"Our home was damaged in a wildfire, and we came across many unscrupulous contractors when trying to find someone to do the job. Structural Prime Builders was the right choice! This company is top-notch in every way! Jose, the owner, was very easy to work with and listened to all the concerns, followed code for the entire job (rebuilding kitchen walls, roofing, taking out cabinets, tile, flooring, and even restoring our bathtub!) and made our home look more beautiful than it looked before the fire. Jose is honest, hard-working, and was always available when we needed to talk to him. He was on-site often, and his crew is simply the best. His price was very affordable and the quality of work was outstanding. If you want the job done right, and done quickly, then choose this company. They are the best!"

"I hired a large company who hired ProServ as the contractor for the project. My contractor was incredible and efficient. Regretfully the company was not. Carlos, ProServ owner, made an incredibly awkward situation work out. I would give ProServ and especially Carlos rave reviews. The professionalism and honesty of the contractor and his crew is exemplary and quality of his work is exceptional."

"I wanted to replace carpet with wood-look vinyl in living room, dining room, library and office in my house, but the floors were very uneven. One company said they would only recommend replacing with new carpet and a second company gave me a ridiculously high estimate for the work. Jacobs Construction quoted a fair price, which went up a bit when they pulled up the carpet and saw just how bad the floors were. The final cost was far below the other quote. The work was done in just two days, and the floors are beautiful!"

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
