"Pete does excellent work. I interviewed 5 people for the job. He is the only one who noticed the crooked beam in our basement. He built accordingly and the beam and pillars look amazing. He built all the walls, extension jambs on windows and patio door, installed bypass closet doors in the bedroom, and did all the base trim and casing. He installed the bathroom vanity. He is a great communicator and just an all around nice guy to work with. He is professional and knows what he is doing. He works for excellence and our basement looks amazing. He also did the firestopping which is required by code."

"We recently had our four season sunroom project completed with Allan Dorney and we have had a really good experience with them. We reached out to them when we had just begun to think of getting a four season sunroom. They came, asked us what we had in our mind about the sunroom and understood what we wanted and what our budget was. They worked around the budget and our dream and now we have a four season sunroom thatĆ¢ s as beautiful as we dreamed it to be. Quality work and quality materials and great project planning. Thanks to your team for making this project happen. We are loving every bit of it."

"They were so easy to work with. They listened to our needs and wants. Helped us stay on budget and accomplish our goals and look. The attention to detail and how clean and organized the job site was all the way through the remodel was amazing. The kitchen remodel was life changing for our space and the process and outcome could not have been better. Clay and Cassie were A class professionals. And the electrician and others they contracted to do the project were just as good as it gets. Would highly recommend."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Hereās a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractorās qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a proās HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesnāt stop here. Once youāve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
