"I called him on a late afternoon. He said he would be out first thing in the morning and he was prompt! He knew his job so well and he did a wonderful job. I asked if he charged a trip charge to come look at the door and he said no. He just simply want to fix doors and be reasonably priced. Everything was Mr. or Mrs. and he couldnâ t have been more polite. While he was working on the door we visited with him and he has quite a sense of humor and a down-home guy. If you would like your garage door fixed PROPERLY and have a very friendly personality and a very fair price, please contact Miguel!!! 626 343-8198. A very good man!!!!!"

"I had some garage door issues at my house this week and I was amazed how hard it was to find someone to troubleshoot my problem. I was quoted $3k by one guy and $2200 for the other. I was shocked!!! I worked at it until I found this guy(Jay) who is incredibly honest and conscientious. He fixed the beam wiring after troubleshooting for an hour and charged me $250 for a job that just needed the right person to find & fix the problem. I hope you’ll call him if you want it done right, at a fair price, by a guy that actually cares about helping his customers without ripping them off. Great job Jay!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
