Scott was able to clearly explain the pros and cons of oil-based and water-based polys, and helped me choose a solution that would maximize durability and achieve the look we were hoping for while cutting down on smells and off-gassing. The existing floor had several very dark spots that we already knew were unlikely to be able to be sanded out. Scott was honest with us about which areas would need to be replaced to remove staining, and which could be removed or mostly removed by sanding the existing boards. The team removed the stained boards and expertly laced in new boards to replace them; they also demo-ed a small tiled area next to the wood floor and installed new boards to make it wood floor throughout. The results are phenomenal! If you didn't know where those spots and tile used to be, you'd have no idea they'd been replaced."
