"I contacted 3 contractors listed on HomeAdvisor. Tim at Tri State was the ONLY one to call me back. He not only called me back but did so within the same day of my leaving the message. He rearranged his schedule to meet me at a time that worked for me. He also was able to fit my job into his very busy schedule. He replaced an exterior door, repaired drywall AND plaster, and cleaned my box gutters. All this was done in a very timely manner and the clean up when the job was finished was top notch! Tim is an excellent resource and I would not hesitate to use him in the future. Thank you for your help :)"

"Crew was great. Help with warranty issues to the best of their abilities. Left the house in great shape. What should have been a straight change-out turned into a little more than that. They did a very good job and were very considerate of my home. I would hire this Veteran owned business again."

Interior & Exterior Painting
"Curtis Painting did an amazing job painting my new home!! Jordan was awesome and exceeded my expectations during the entire experience!! He was so helpful and accommodating every step of the way! He knew I had time constraints and had a team set up ready to go the very next day! Denise and her coworker (I’m so sorry I did not catch her name) got to work as soon as they arrived and were very precise and thorough! They did not waste any time! When we did the final walk through, the couple places I thought needed touched up she had already fixed before I even said anything!! I would definitely use Curtis Painting again and have already recommended them to some of my coworkers! Thank you so much!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
