"This large 12,000sq. ft+ home has over 50 exterior windows and 6 double doors, plus 4 large single doors. The exterior painting also involved replacement window sills, large shutters, and balconies. Every aspect of this extensive project was handled professionally, with great attention to detail. The staining of a large Mahogany Door, interior stair railings and millwork were all beautifully finished. Even the most minor details were attended to promptly and efficiently. In short, I cannot recommend ECK Painting & Remodeling too highly."

"You would be hard pressed to find a business owner/installer more qualified than Christian. His work is impeccable. His timeliness is outstanding and his character is impressive. We hired Christian to repair a master bathroom on our new home because we discovered a leak. This journey took us to discovering a lot of rotted wood in the floor and walls and termites in the wall and having to demolition a large portion of the bathroom. Christian did an outstanding job. So great was his craftsmanship that we had him install from scratch a full shower in our basement and tile our kitchen. Two more bathrooms are in the planning stages. "They are the nicest folks. The owner even stopped by to inspect to make sure we were completely satisfied with the results. You just donâ t get that kind of follow up these days. We originally hired them to install porcelain tile in our bathroom. However, they ended up repairing and replacing a bad floor install that we previously paid someone else for. They did so well that we got them to install the flooring in another bathroom that same day. In addition, they helped us with a small paint job for a nominal fee. We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Licensing
